"First time going here and I was not impressed. My eggs were ordered over easy and they weren’t even cooked (I get the middle should be runny and that does mean a little on the raw side). The eggs were so lightly cooked it looked they were just cracked open and it was terrible. I couldn’t even eat them! My sister ordered pancakes with her meal and they were never brought out. So she had to ask for a refund and the waitress did say “oh sorry I forgot.” Which hey sometimes this happens. Our table had to wait for drinks and it was hot out. The place wasn’t even that busy. The food was subpar. Ancora is better. My boyfriend wants to go here again to try the lunch menu, so I’ll see what happens next time. Just a disappointing visit. I still tipped of course because it was hot and it’s definitely not an easy job. If the staff cared enough they would have asked if everything was ok or tasting good. Good service definitely gets more money in the door and I just don’t feel this place was worth it."

"As for the food.. The free bread is a small portion, which we did not mind because it was stale. The pasta dishes came out hot, but they were flavorless. I am suspicious that the chicken was made a previous day and reheated with how dry it was. As for the service.. Service was slow. We went through our entire meal without seeing our waitress to ask for a beverage refill. Overall, this is overpriced and not worth the time or effort."

"Wonderful local coffee shop. This is the best place for a casual date in Madison. The Chai Charger is my go-to but I’ve never had a bad coffee here! Sometimes I have had issues connecting to the wifi but changing my laptop DNS settings fixes it! Plenty of articles online in case you face the same issue."

"The service here was actually six stars. Sarah and Jerry are absolutely amazing and if I were Denny's I would make sure to keep these two for as long as you can. Maybe even manager material, being a former business owner I can see the potential in people. Not only is Jerry making sure the establishment is up to par but is going above and beyond the call of duty to make sure the guests are having a great visit. "The subs here are good quality with a nice selection of meats and toppings. I'd say the quality is above Jimmy John's and Cousins (better bread, fresh meats, great ratio of filling to bread), but below Jersey Mike's (the meat isn't grilled and the bread selection isn't quite as good), and it's priced accordingly. This location is supremely fast, and the sub is almost always done before I finish filling my drink. The physical location is also prime, as it's located across the street from the university's two largest dorms and below many of the university's offices of employment. The restaurant has bar seating with a nice view of East Campus Mall. A great spot for a quick lunch or dinner."

"I ordered the BBLT. When I got back to the office with my lunch I discovered that they had put cold uncooked bacon on my sandwich. I cooked it in a microwave. The lettuce and tomatoes were sparce for what I paid for the sandwich."

"I love the decorations and vibe of this place. They also have excellent water. 10/10 would recommend this absolutely exquisite water. And when I say exquisite I mean it. "We had a $100 gift certificate that we were unable to use at this restaurant in Madison. We were visiting from out of town, and at the time, they were only offering carryout services. Despite having a valid certificate, we were informed that it could not be honored. Unfortunately, by the time we returned to Madison, the restaurant had permanently closed. It is disappointing that they did not honor our gift certificate, especially since we had paid for it in advance. While we understand the challenges businesses faced during the COVID-19 pandemic, this experience has left a negative impression on us and others."

"Super tasty American food just like you'd find in Chicago or Philly. Food is made to order which means it's hot. The fries are fantastic. We had a Chicago dog and a Philly cheese steak. The dog beats the quality Portillos in Wisconsin. The Philly could be improved with either more meat or less bun. Did I mention the fries were fantastic.The staff was friendly and chatty. One aspect that took much away from my experience was the state of the restroom, just eeeeww! Glad I used it after I'd finished eating. Please clean it."

"I was super stoked to try this place after reading the reviews and stepping foot into an absolutely stunning restaurant. Service was good, and it was a strong start. They require you to order your apps and the mains at the same time to schedule it out, totally fine. Drinks were solid nothing to write home about, but good. After we got our drinks, more people started to come into the dining room. It was incredibly loud and started to be a bit off putting. Our meal lasted about an hour, with the mains taking about 45 minutes to arrive at our table. We left immediately after finishing because we didn't want to keep trying to talk over the crowd. Food left a lot to be desired. It felt like it was trying too hard. Deviled eggs were uncommon flavors of spicy tuna (didn't really taste like this at all), pork fried rice (very salty from the egg), and salmon roe (decent). It felt more like a novelty I'd eat once than a dish I'd want to order even twice. Salmon main was swimming in a cream colored sauce that wasn't very hot, and the potatoes were undercooked. The halibut was overcooked, under seared, and paired with bitter polenta, a ton of corn, and way too much pesto it just didn't make sense. Overall, the dishes needed some heavy editing less is more! At this price point, I'd definitely expect more. I didn't factor this into my review, but if I did, I'd subtract half a star."

"This is our first time eating out in Hutong. We ordered Dan Dan Noodles and Garlic green beans. Great food with great flavors and amazing taste! The Dan Dan Noodles are spicy. If I could rate the spice level 10 being max I would give them 7.5-8ish. I love spicy food so no complaints! Definitely cleared my sinuses. The green beans were nice crunchy. Great appetizer or a small plate. Potion size was good. The menu is not overwhelmingly long like other Chinese restaurants so that's nice especially when it's difficult to decide what to order. I would definitely go back again to dine in there. It's nice to have a good authentic Chinese restaurant in Madison without the need to travel to Chicago to satisfy your taste buds."

"I loved walking into Everly, it is open and fresh! We were greeted right away and our service was great. I went with their Butternut Squash curry and I 'm not sure if the person preparing this that day was just heavy handed on the spices or if this is the standard. It wasn 't heat, just too strong, it took away from the rest of the dish. I wouldn 't order that again. My son had the honey chicken sandwich which he has come to really enjoy. Our other guest had the cubano who said it was pretty good. We shared the bananas foster for dessert. It probably shouldn 't have that name, it didn 't hit the mark at all. All three of us wished we had chosen something else. The puff pastry didn 't do much for the balance of the plate, it had an odd flavor that just didn 't belong. Of course, food is subjective, could be that I just don 't 'jive ' with what they are trying to do there. I 'll definitely go back and try other items to see if I just picked the wrong items for me that day."
