"A place I tend to frequent quite often due to a nice bar and good pub food. It’s got a nice, relaxed, atmosphere, although it probably wouldn’t hurt for it to have a little more lighting. It’s very dark. They have a huge selection of beers and wines from all different price points. However, the only reason I am deducting a point is due to the fact that their menu is quite limited. It’s really nothing but just bar food really and that’s all you’ll have to choose from. That said, and why I frequent this place so often, is due to their chicken fingers. On Tap has to have the best I’ve ever had. They are huge! And meaty! Their fries are quite good as well. They have quite a vast array of dipping sauces as well. A lot seem to like their magic sauce. I always get their scorcher and cajun sauces. The former is quite spicy but very flavorful and the latter is smoky, a little spicy, and quite clove-y. It’s fantastic and alternating bites between the two is what I tend to do. But like I said, you won’t have much selection to choose from otherwise, but I’m sure it’s all good. Also, you seat yourself which isn’t always a bad thing, but it seems like sometimes you can be overlooked. Last time I came in, no one seemed to notice me. I walked up to the bar to let someone know and the waitress admitted to me that she didn’t see me, so it’s possible that could happen. But service has always been friendly for me!"

"We have tried this place because we live in Pelham and it is nearby with good reviews. After dinner tonight, I am sincerely shocked at the 4.2 stars of this place. I ordered the seafood sampler who was special. It came with fried crabs, fried oysters, a crab cake and grilled shrimps. The oysters were fine. The crab cake was ok on the inside, but it was fried on the outside in an inch of its life. It was so overcooked on the outside that it tasted. Two other people on our table had the same problem with their crab cake. The crab claws were seasoned and overcooked so that the meat was hard to chew from the claw and chew. The shrimps had not desired to speak, despite the appearance of spices. I had to salt them myself. I've eaten shrimp throughout the country and don't ever remember that I did it myself season when it came to the table. My wife ordered the Macadamia nut snail. The fish was cooked fine, but was sickly sweet because of the pineapple. Even after she had beaten a lemon, she fought to eat it. Overall, we paid $105 for two drinks and two Entrees after the tip. The waiter never imagined himself and sat down from the table to take our order, which is always out of operation. The reason for the additional star is that when you enter, there is an American flag image with the Pledge of Allegiance on it. The food was aggressively mediocre, which is shocking in view of the price and all star reviews. We will definitely not be back to Mikey? You better go to Ragtime Cafe."
