"Sub par sandwiches. Inconsistent quality. They are always running out of breads (croissants). Service/staff are unprofessional and forgetful. The environment is cold, and sterile. Just painting and better blinds would help. And please, step into the 21st century and get new overhead lighting. When I go in, which is rare now, I am delighted when we leave. Try some booths as well. I would love to support local businesses, but only those that make an effort to get my business. The sandwiches…boring deli meat, slapped on day old bread is something dissatisfying. I’m sure all of those on the square , eat for lunch because it’s close! Their cookies are good, but that about it. The side options are from 1950. A cup of fruit? Pasta salad? They only reason they are open is from the business owners on the square. Even a chain like Panera has amazing soups and sandwiches. Being a family business get together and create a new menu! Please! When I have friends come from Des Moines, I wouldn’t dare take them to Funaro’s. Most of the town wants to see you succeed, but do you care enough to please the people. (You haven’t mine)"
