"We are a local family but had never been to the Granary before. Our first impression was that it LOOKS very dated from the paint to the lighting to the broken cane backed chairs. Initially, too, the service seemed very awkward, although as the meal went on, it seems that perhaps that was simply because the server was relatively new there and because the chef was backed up in the kitchen. What was nice is that, while we waited for our main courses, the server came to say that it would take longer than expected and that we should choose another appetizer complementary as a courtesy. The food was very good no complaints at all it’s just very expensive (even for Jackson) for the atmosphere of the place. We would go back, but probably only for drinks or something, as there are plenty of places in town where we can spend that amount of money and feel like we’ve really had a special experience."
