"I have to say- it is an awesome view, great food and a very enjoyable time. They let you stay there as long as you like and are very friendly. I do agree that they forgot about us after we were served and waiting for a check became ridiculous. However, hasn't I really cared, I would have solved that problem myself and got up and found someone to help. They did apologize twice for the delay as they got busy. I can't dispute the people who are commenting it is not good service. It is good service, until it wasn't anymore. However, We were on vacation and we were in Jamaica time.... once you are used to that , no problems...the food was so awesome it didn't matter any More"

The only vegetarian restaurant in Kingston has great coffee, good breakfast, diverse lunch specials and plenty of sandwiches. Some vegan options. Friendly staff. "I saw the specials the Fort has been offering and decided to try it. After ordering..our waitress appeared with salads we didnt even know came with our dinner. All had italian dressing.. no one even asked us if we wanted italian. I got lasagna and when it came to the table it was ice cold in the middle...and after reheat the noodles were brown and hard. "I discovered this restaurant on a Saturday and decided to give it a try. It surpasses any deli or lunch spot we have here in Rhinebeck. My roast beef sandwich had the perfect combination of flavors and textures, and my husband couldn't stop talking about his chicken and eggplant sandwich. The staff were all pleasant and down-to-earth, which was a huge plus. The food was fantastic and there was no pretentious attitude. We both can't wait to return again soon."

"tl;dr Worth a stop when you 're in Kingston. Good, but not perfect burgers, great service, and fast. I really enjoyed my cheeseburger from The Grub Hut. It was very good, although I would 've made some different choices about how it was built. I 'm not a fan of the red onions and green leaf lettuce, but I understand that those are considered premium ingredients these days. Give me iceberg lettuce and yellow onions (preferably diced) every time. The excellent patty was under-seasoned and the burger would 've benefited from twice as much mayonnaise. With all that said, I was very happy with my lunch and will visit every single time I 'm hungry and in Kingston. I loved it. Service was much quicker than I expected. I received my very large order within 10 minutes. I expected to be there 20-30 minutes. Prices are fair. I 'd never call them cheap, but they 're hardly expensive. Considering the nice touches, like homemade nacho cheese, I found the Grub Hut to be a real value. Definitely recommended."

"Come visit the most magical, beautiful and sweet filled vegan bakery Sweet Maresas. ??? Its been on my bucket list for awhile. While in the area, we stopped by on a Sat afternoon. This bakery has the most beautiful store front I’ve EVER seen. Seriously, beautiful. That alone is worth a visit… The goodies behind glass awaited. They had a nice selection of large macarons and treats (all vegan) We got: dozen macarons. Loved each flavor. They are BEAUTIFUL I felt bad eating them ? Strawberry and cake batter was a hit between my husband and I. We also got a couple other flavors like pistachio, hazelnut marzipan cookie. Wowwww. The flavor was amazing. The cookie was dense and moist. Very doughy almost. It was one of the best cookies I’ve ever had hands down. vanilla cupcake. The frosting was delicious. The cupcake part was on the dry side for my liking sadly. But still was wonderful I really loved the frosting. Seriously come here. Its such a beautiful shop. All vegan. The macarons are to die for."

"This was the worst experience ever! Should be a ZERO option. Ordered on the Beyond Menu app on Christmas Eve around 4:30 PM. Ordered early as I expected they would be busy on that night. Order went through app no problem, got notified that order would be ready at 5:15 PM. Wife and daughter and I got in the car, went to pick it up. When I get there, there are people milling around near the front door. I walk to cashier and ask for my order. They are just finishing it now I sit down. Ten minutes later I ask, is it going to be much longer? Now, there is no order. I show them the app showing the confirmed order for well over 1$135. Well, we don't have it. Besides, there is a gas issue right now, so we can't cook. Ok, you have my number, why didn't you call all the people that ordered and tell them there was no food waiting??? No apologies offered. Honestly, the place was dirty, understaffed, and complete chaos. Ruined our Christmas Eve. After going back home and scraping up something to eat, 2 hours later I get a call from Royal Garden saying, your order is ready, are you coming to pick it up? Uh, hard no on that. Never again."

"On my first visit a band was playing and although they were good it was much to loud for a dinner party of 6... We really had a hard time conversing as we could see the mouths moving but couldn't hear a word the person was saying. For a while we joked about it and ended up moving our seating as far away from the band as possible.. The service and the food was very, very good and well worth going.. Then we went back the following day, no band the place was very comfortable and again tried a few more different items on the menu and absolutely loved everything we ordered.. This I think has become my husbands favorite place for the best taco's ever! Oh yeah, try their street corn... Yum, yum.."

"Decided to try this place while in town because of its great reviews. The wait was unbelievable. I don’t mind waiting, but it was ungodly hot in the restaurant. Our waitress was great. Super friendly. Very nice woman. When the food finally arrived it was the biggest disappointment. The special was the tiniest portion, no taste, and over cooked. We also had the chicken Marsala plate. Both were disappointing as well. Tiny portion. It reminded me of brown gravy as opposed to a Marsala sauce. Mashed potatoes tasted instant. The chicken was chewy and not appetizing. The price, outrageous for what you get served. I absolutely do not mind spending money on great food. But this was the biggest waste of $120 I’ve ever spent. Seriously lacking."

I live Poughkeepsie and went to your shop because I was in the neighborhood for my wife’s family. But it seems that I will never go to your establishment and will make sure everyone I know will stay away as well. For everyone reading this the food is good but like I stated the atmosphere/ toxicity is not worth an over priced sandwich."
