"Augustin is located at the downtown and it seems like a favorite local hangout. I like the fact they completely separate smoking and non smoking section by the glass door, I didn't smell cigarette smoke while sitting at the non smoking section. This restaurant is designed for small to mid size group, anywhere between 4 to 8 people size table. This is my local business partner's favorite place and she called ahead to make reservation as she said this place gets busy. Out of town guests arrived before the local host, but since they have English menu available and our server Paul spoke excellent English, we had no problems ordering our drinks and food. Their house beer is made to go smooth, so you will consume more. I didn't drink beer but everyone else at the table seemed to like it, they each had 3 or 4 large glasses. For food, all we had was Munich sausages and pretzels. Sausage is served with sweet mustard, this mustard was also great with soft pretzels. My local contact showed me how to eat this white sausage. First take a fork to make a little hole at one end. Then use a tip of the fork to cut through the skin like a knife. Remove the skin to enjoy the white sausage. I really liked it so much, after the first comment I made, she proceeded to order bunch more, each of us ate 4 or 5 of them. Service was great. Paul really took good care of us but others came in to help clear out the plate, took more order for drinks, it was so enjoyable. 8 of us in our group, all came from different parts of the world, meeting some of us for the first time, it was really fun way to get to know each other. Thank you Augustin for creating such a fun ambiance."

"It’s a very good restaurant from every point of view. I popped down it by chance on August shortly after arriving in Klagenfurt, after having wandered for a while looking for good food, which is not easy to find in the stated city...really. The inner terrace was the only part of the restaurant which at that time was destined to the relevant business purposes; so I sat down at a table there and realised that most of courses listed on the menu were conceived with much wisdom. I ordered a filet steak and it was delicious: very tender, tasty and very well cooked. I was so satisfied that I went again to that restaurant on the following day, August That time I ordered spaghetti and it was also delicious. Unfortunately its staff was on holiday and thus the restaurant was closed down when I passed again through Klagenfurt on my way back home. All waiters there are helpful, efficient and diligent, and especially the one who attended me was also very kind. He told me that he had lived in Switzerland. That’s the reason why he speaks a perfect French, language in which we talked on that occasion. The terrace where dinner was served is very attractive and well bedecked. It was nice to be there, the more so if the fact that there was no music is taken into consideration. The customers weren’t therefore obliged to hear any sounds which they didn’t wish to listen to. Consequently the atmosphere was fantastic, the best for one to spend there a great moment while having a meal, as I did. By all means that restaurant is indeed a recommendable place to eat."

"Dined here both nights we stayed in Klagenfurt as it was included with our room. The restaurant has a lot of things going for it. It has amazing views over the city and surrounding mountains, especially at sunset. Music is playing in the background, you dine by candle light, and they have patio umbrellas so you are covered in case of any sprinkles. Service was professional, friendly, and helpful. As we didn't speak any German they very helpful in explaining the menu options. The first night we started with tomato soup which was ok. I had the Pork chops with bacon and mushroom gravy which was excellent and my wife had the cheese pasta dish which she wasn't that crazy about. Both nights we had access to the salad bar which had different options each night and was very good. On the second night we had the cream of celery soup which was better than the tomato soup and we both had the pork which came out on a cutting board still on the bone and a knife sticking out of it. It was great although a challenge to cut up. For desert we had an apple pastry which was full of cinnamon and the second night we had a cup of pudding with berries and cream which was great. We washed everything down with cold beer at 3.40 euro each. There is also plenty of parking and there was a play area on the side for kids. The restaurant sits up above these areas and is very romantic. We would highly recommend."
