"Service very slow, we sat at booth and reflection off car windshields blinded us. their sunscreen goes all the way across multiple seatings, so you cannot very well ask them to put in down and block everyone's view. French fries super salty. Fried chicken sandwich fairly tasteless, limited beer selection to emphasize Gravity Heights brews.Even with BOGO coupon our lunch with two beers and two sandwiches was $50, which is steep for the meal we had. I know some people really like this place but I had disappointing breakfast previously and now disappointing lunch so don't feel like attempting dinner. Nice that they offered mocktails but at $7 or $8 for basiically fruit puree and seltzer or tonic that is steep. No wonder places are closig because who can afford to go out."

"If you love the plentiful amounts of sushi, then this is the place to go. It is much better than any other anything you can eat sushi places because you order almost everything from the menu and they make it fresh. It is a fantastic concept and even better experience. The problem is that they use the paper application method. Here you get a paper with small boxes next to any item in the menu and you decided at the beginning what you want to eat. So begin to check away and probably choose almost everything on the menu because your eyes are bigger then your stomach. Soon food begins. You have a good time, you eat, eat. Then you know that you only have about 1/2 things on your checklist... Oh. It's time to step it on a notch. So start compressing it in more and more food in the hope of your stomach... but unfortunately you can't win. Luckily you can just say that they don't do anything that is not done yet and take it from your list: This is the sensible approach. Otherwise, you will be like us and feel really sick afterwards. But it was still great! 1 further note: The place is really small, so try to go on top days/time or expect to wait a bit. You have to sit at the sushi bar to eat everything."

"I will begin to say that it is difficult to find a good eating in san diego, so I really appreciate Nine-Ten for one of the few. this was a return trip for my wife and me, and a first visit for our four friends who joined us. we all met in the tasting menu menu menu menu dinner. the six of us sat on a long table more suitable for eight, which made it difficult to converse in particular with the oppressing noise level. the noise level ruined what was otherwise an excellent experience, hardly in the position to hear each other or to hear the server that describes eating and crying. the food and service was excellent, but not as good as I remember a few years ago. the scallops, trufflepasta and ribeye courses were unforgettable, the other courses could not be so much, but not everyone cursor. the wine pairings were on the place and supplemented the eating and any wine pairing I've ever had. at the end we all enjoyed eating, but eating or experience not worth the $250 price tag per person. I think the attenuation of the noise level would go a long way to increase the value and to withdraw us another time."

"The farmhouse sandwich was tasty, and the orange juice was freshly squeezed. However, the hash browns were cold. On the plus side, everything was well-packaged, and the service was very fast."

"Good dinner. Friendly staff. Don't wait on Tuesday night in summer, which was nice. Nice beer selection, I have the cherry cidder they had on tap. The appetizer we got was very different and delicious (Kartato skins with chorizo). My wife and I have a pasta. It was a reasonable part. Outside had a beautiful view."

"the last time I was here, I was out for her $1 in 2018. fast forward four years later and through a pandemic, happy to say that $1 oyster still exists! this place is busy so we make reservations by 4 clock, which also the time they open. we sat outside because I had my dog with me. very pet-friendly and there is a heating when they are cold. parking here can be tricky. they have a small amount like 8 cars when they are happy. otherwise it is road parking for 2 hours to 18 hours. if they get their at 4 o'clock, then they are quite set for the rest of the night. may circle around a few times or use the paid partie. this street is busy with other restaurants such as burger lounge and puesto. happy hour is from 4-6 o'clock. equal to $1 oysters and it's just west coast oysters. it was at the smaller end. we ordered everything from their happy hour menu. I have the Caesar salad and the Margherita pizza. both are delicious. the salate is enough to 2-3 max. the pizza was a 12 inch that is equal to her dinner menu, but cheaper. it tastes better hot. if they let it sit, the cheese is set. their drinks are delicious. they seem to use jalapeños in a few things like calamari and their drinks. I have jaleberry, an infused tequila with strawberry jalapeño with limette and agave. it wasn't sharp. If they want a little kick, they ask that the felge is spicy. it came out perfectly!"

"I'm not going to lie, we had extremely high hopes for this place with the high google rating and it being vegan... BUT! It seemed like all the food (even the Mac and cheese) was seasoned with Mexican spices. The Mac and cheese was just as sour as a lemon and quite bitter (none of the creamy buttery deliciousness you look forward to) the tomato soup had unshelled pumpkin seeds that couldn't be eaten, and the jackfruit tacos were soft and overpowered again by a sour sauce, missing some jalapeno or something like that. Taste wise this place deserves a 1 star. They opened up an hour and a half late, and then the food was terrible. The atmosphere was okay, and the service nice but slow. The only reason they get 2 stars instead of 1 from me is because they're vegan and gluten free... Sorry, maybe the chef needs to try some non-vegan food before trying to copy things we know and love, or not copy those things and instead do already vegan food like curries or Buddha bowls."

"We had an amazing view from our seat on the deck outside (heaters were on to accommodate the chilly evening). The service was impeccable and made our occasion feel very special. The Westland 'Stateside ' Manhattan was the perfect amount of spirit-forward you would expect from that cocktail and for sweet cocktail lovers, the Finale Perfetto is an amazing choice. Everyone loved their food including the Seared Tuna, Sea Scallops, Prime Rib Eye Steak, and I thought the Duck Breast and Confit Leg was especially unique when served with Spaetzle Apples seasonally. The vegetable sides were also tasty and a good portion."

"Really enjoy coming here. The views are stunning, the staff is very professional and the food is great. They also have a good wine list, but definitely don't skip the cocktails! Their smoked old fashioned and margarita are phenomenal. Even for a small bite or lunch it's a great choice. My number 1 recommendation is the lobster tacos. On the weekend, in the upstairs bar, they often have live music. A must visit when in La Jolla."

"we liked the job very much. beautiful place to go for an evening date with a beautiful ambiente as long as they don't eat. seriously, although- the vegan kitchen was really bad. we had: -bruschetta (bath, excessively torn brot without chewing, high quality tasting tomato, too much oil) -pesto gnocchi (no acid or vegan sharpness (nooch/vegan parm) to pesto, only oily basilikum sauce, it was not good with any means, but was the best part of the meal) -vegan pizza (only had the worst. the unpleasant crust, the cheese was not good, but the worst part was the burned to a crunchy sweetheart up. really happy they offer a vegan menu, but they need to make the food taste better. if any nonvegan tries to do this, they would probably be very skeptical of vegan food from then on."

"The concept here is similar to Chipotle, but with Mediterranean cuisine, and the portions are a bit smaller. I enjoyed the beef meatballs, but I found the harissa chicken to be quite dry—it was almost crunchy. The staff member who recommended it said it was a popular choice, but I shouldn't have taken a chance on grilled chicken at a fast-casual place. *Facepalm.* On the positive side, the lemon vinaigrette was excellent, the greens were fresh, and the saffron rice was flavorful. The crazy feta and hummus were tasty, and the yogurt sauce along with the other toppings were decent. There are limits on how many toppings you can choose, which are clearly indicated on a sticker on the glass. I advise first-time visitors to check the menu online beforehand to avoid holding up the line like I did. I’m knocking off one star for the dry harissa chicken and for the tall girl who dropped my pita bread on the counter and didn’t replace it. Seriously?"

"Wow! 1. impression: 10/10. The staff was welcoming and welcoming. I told them it was my first time and they were very helpful. And above all, my food was AMAZING! The kimchi aioli on my black salmon shell? Wow! A perfect compliment of aromas. I'll be back a lot."

"The 3 levels to get to Catania were decent and it wasn't too confusing. It looked very busy, but we had a reservation. The hostess has made a quick check for our table and we sat within 2 minutes. We wanted to sit near the railing and delivered! The view was amazing, there a little after sunset. It was a jubilee dinner, so the waiter brought us additional glasses on champagne. We started ordering some drinks: a Nora (Bürbon, mirtamaro, spiced blueberry vanilla syrup, Angostura bitters -served on large rocks) and a Classic Negroni. Then we ordered the Smoked Duck Liver Crostini appetizer (Dates, Currants, Almonds, Pickled Shallots Parsley). For the main dish we ordered Wild Mushroom Pizza (Burrata, Fontina, Garlic Confit, Chili Flakes, Sherry Vinegar, Thymian) and the Duck Sugo Orecchiette (braised duck, tomato, porcini mushrooms, Juniper, Parmesan). The garlic conflict was amazing with the Wild Mushroom Pizza. The Duck Sugo was also great. I think both were too salty and the pizza was missing something for them really good, but I'm not a cook, so I'm not too sure what it was missing. Overall the service was solid, the view was amazing, the food was a 4/5. Overall great place and I would come back to try some different things."

"Despite living nearby for years, had not until recently made the run to El Pescador. Our lost opportunity to fix now this place has incredible selection and variety of seafood. Fresh, fresh, fresh. Perfectly cooked swordfish in homemade dressing on a soft roll. Crab cocktail excellent (and I'm typically not a huge fan); perfect heat level in the sauce. The grilled octopus cookery made us permanent devotees. Great service staff, lots of seating and ample beverage selection. Planning our next visit already!"

"Great place to have breakfast and lunch don’t know about dinner. Only giving it four stars because I have not tried dinner and because on the eggs Benedict, they do medium poached not runny, which I love so I was disappointed in that. before I order them again, I will ask to see if they can do a soft poached for me. But so far all their pastries crêpes Panini’s are great. Really hard to leave there without buying something from the bakery to bring home! One thing to note is that if you are dining in and get a side, croissant, scone, etc. ask them to warm it up otherwise it will be room temperature As busy as it gets if you need to wait, it’s not long at all and they give you a text message on your phone so you can see the status of your reservation and how many minutes your wait may be."

"Stopped in for our morning coffee on our vacation. I was very surprised by the set up. It’s a nice coffee shop. The girl taking the orders definitely has the best job there, since everyone else is so busy. I wanted to try something a little different so I got the iced ginger snap. I really liked it! Nice change of pace for me! I didn’t see the avocado toast offered this morning, but that could be my mistake. Nice location, easy to get to."

"Upon rolling up on this cafe we were a little unsure, but the reviews were good and there was a giant A from the DOEH, so here we go. So glad we did. The service was brisk but not bullish and the food was wonderful. We realized that this place puts stock in efficiency and serving a great product. If you want a kiss on the head you can get that from the guy or gal you are sitting across the table from. If you want good food and coffee in a quick and efficient manner this is the spot for you. So again don't be fooled by the outside, it is what is inside that counts!"
