"From the second we walked in, I could tell that this place is FULL of love and great energy. The owners were incredibly kind and are at the front line making sure they work as hard as everyone else. The rest of the staff was courteous and really made it feel welcoming and familiar. "I can't recommend Big Slide enough! We were visiting from out of town and happened upon it by chance and I'm so glad we did!! The atmosphere is chill but classy, the staff is wonderful, and the brews and food are out of this world!! Their flights have such a great variety, and when I tell you their steak with peppercorn sauce is the best steak I've ever had in my life... omg. I think I'll dream of it forever. Everything we tried was delicious but that steak... I'm counting the days until we go back! ?"

"My wife and I visited Lake Placid's weekend. We went down the main road after dinner and noticed a line at Emmas who went several doors down. We thought the ice must be worth waiting and come in the line. The line moved quickly, and we all ended up with a delicious milkshake. It was so good, we went back the next day."

"The service on the night we dined here was total chaos. I was able to reserve a table on Open Table with no wait, but walk ins were told it would be a 90 min wait. We were seated relatively quickly, was given a glass of water, and then waited for 20 minutes before anyone came back to take our order that just happened to be the host who was checking in guests at the front and was also bussing tables. There were only 4 people actually working the dining area that we could see and there didn’t appear to be any organization to who was doing what. Despite the wait to order, the food came quickly and was good, not great. Average Italian fare, good size portions. Don’t know that I’d go out of my way to dine here again."

"We almost missed this place because of the 3.8 rating on Google. I'm SO GLAD, we wanted to come anyway. Fried Pickles were amazing, and they freeze pimp spear instead of pickle chips. It is absolutely STUFFED with brisket, pig and bacon on the Burgerpatty. My wife got the Brisket Tacos and they were also filled with food. Sabine our server was also great! Use the outdoor seats when the weather is beautiful! Prices are a bit high, but this is everywhere in this area. Nothing but great things to say about this place. We'll be back!"

"Had a really wonderful dinner here tonight. The view is incredible. Great, friendly service from Luc. The food was also amazing! Not sure why trout piccata isn’t on more menus but it’s was excellent! Burrata ravioli with pistachio pesto also was very unique and really good. My son loved the chocolate mousse cake. I’m confused about the reviews that talk about the price point. For the prime location, large portions and high quality, I thought the price was very reasonable. Highly recommended this spot for a nice dinner! Kid-friendliness: Came with our 7 year old. Great kids menu. Waiter was great with our son. There were several families eating there."

"Drive through the area and decided to stop for a late lunch. We enjoyed the back terrace atmosphere and beautiful breeze. Our waitress was quick and attentive, our food came within 7-8 minutes after the order. We chose some appetizers. The grouping fingers were three hand-baked fillets and were delicious. The mushrooms were also hand-baked, hot and crispy. The clams were frozen and okay. All appetizers were food size portions and we ended up half with us!"

"Stopped here after going to the High Falls Gorge for lunch. It was amazing! The beers are all made in-house. The Hefeweizen was my favorite. I ordered the Korean Pulled pork sandwich. It was really good. Paired well with some of the beers from the flight I ordered. What really made this place 5 stars was the experience we had. We were able to be seated inside right away. I highly recommend you ask for Brodie as your waiter. His Customer service was second to none. Always checked up on us and made sure we were always good. It?s a pretty popular spot for food so you might have to wait a bit but it is totally worth it. I?ll be back here for sure when I?m back in Lake Placid. Big shout out to the owners and staff at Lake Placid Pub and Brewery"

"I took my wife on a romantic mysterious escape to Lake Placid, NY. We were in a suite at High Peaks Resort. There are many restaurants in the area, but we decided to visit the resort's restaurant late Friday night, Dancing Bears restaurant, for dinner at night. What a great place! The food was excellent, the prices appropriate, attentive staff and a great atmosphere. The next day we ate breakfast and lunch and stopped for dinner again while we were in Lake Placid. "We were recently on a mini holiday in Lake Placid and held for drinks after the ice-skating Mirror Lake. Tim was great! Didn't hurry, and even though we only have a beer that gave us so much attention as people with a late lunch. Even our son made the “best virgin Pina colada” he had ever! (His words, lol) The next day we decided to eat in Delta Blue. Tim was the bartender again and was a little closer to the lunchtime, and there was a can/am tournament in the city that bounced! He didn't skip a beat again. My husband Burger was freshly juicy and perfectly cooked, my son shaved over his grilled cheese and I tasted three sides, all that was delicious. Thanks to Tim for good service and Delta Blue continues what you do!"

"Marion and I stopped for dinner and what a wonderful surprise. The best fried Dill Pickle chips for appetizers. The greens were excellent. I treated myself to a ribeye and it was perfectly cooked and delicious. Marion had the brisket, which was tender and tasty. We share a piece of cinnamon roll cheese cake (Why does my clothes no longer fit? that was a piece of delicious decadence. As wonderful as our dinner was, the service was even better. Our waitress was kind, helpful, on everything. The owners couldn't have been nicer. We can't wait to go back to Smoke Shack BBQ! Great food, great service!
