"Good and safe GF food! I got the GF pizza and you can choose from the whole pizza menu and make it GF. Service was super slow which is why I dropped the rating. We got there with 1 hr 20 min before we had to leave for our train, and our waitress asked right when we sat down our timetable. I thought that would mean quicker service but no waitress approached our table after that for over 25minutes not even to bring us water or take a drink request. We went to the front TWICE to ask someone to come take our order and that still didn't do the trick. We were about to get up leave when finally someone noticed and gave us attention. Food service after that were super fast and they were nice. Not sure if it was a fluke or consistent bad service with others."

"We just spent a week at this wonderful hotel! The staff is exceptional and we were given a warm welcome during every interaction. The breakfast buffet was scrumptious with freshly baked goods, Swiss hot chocolate, juices, meats/cheeses, and an assortment of fresh fruit. The location of the hotel is excellent and the views from the breakfast room and adjoining restaurant are exceptional. Luxurious lines were much appreciated. Special recognition goes to employees Ana and Laurie for always being so helpful and cheerful. They made us feel so welcome and taken care of. The manager, Yasmin, does a great job to ensure guests are happy and comfortable. Highly recommend this hotel to everyone. Rooms: Luxurious linens, super clean facilities Walkability: Very centrally located to train and cable car stations,"

"Excellent food quality and very friendly service. However, the Terrasse outdoor seating is quite misleading: there is only a very tiny ground level outdoor seating area literally right next to the street, it is *not* on top as some photos and the large sign might indicate (that is part of the spa ofthe hotel). When I made a phone reservation for 11 people on the terrasse, they did not tell me that, which I found a bit dishonest. Nevertheless, the food was great, so I would still highly recommend it. I hope the owners will be more clear about their terrasse with future customers!"

"We made a booking at 2 a.m. to the hotel, but at 4 a.m. to realize that we can't do it, we immediately advised the hotel and asked for a refund. At the same time they were still on the booking site. Therefore we did not penalize when booking, no service provided, but the answer was NO. Sadly you learn the Swiss marketing policy for this institution.... just money...."

"Das Restaurant Eigergletscher über der kleinen Scheidegg ist immer wieder einen Besuch wert. Seit langem unser beliebtes Restaurant für eine herzhafte Käseschnitte mit Ei oder eine feine Rösti mit Schinken und Spiegelei. Es gibt aber noch viele andere feine Speisen. Der Service ist freundlich und zuvorkommend, auch in hektischen Zeiten und immer für ein späschen aufgelegt. Das Essen wird rasch und heiss serviert. "Ich denke, Wengen ist in der Nebensaison ziemlich ruhig. War auf der Suche nach etwas ist essen zu Fuß die Hauptstraße entlang, aber die meisten Orte waren geschlossen. Dies war der einzige offene Ort, also versuchten ich und ein Minenkumpel es. Die Preise waren in Bezug auf die Schweiz erschwinglich, denke ich. Sie servieren hauptsächlich Burger und Pommes mit anderen gebratenen Sachen und Sandwiches. Burger wurden frisch und heiß gekocht, als ich mich erinnere, meine Zunge verbrannt zu haben. Es ist ein Ort ohne Schnickschnack und Sie kommen essen und gehen. Burger war anständig für eine Mahlzeit."

"We ordered for a veg burger, nachos with hummus and bruschetta. The wait was for a long 45 mins after which the food delivered was decent enough. Bruschetta was like chutney on a bread with tomato and carrot slices, nachos with hummus encountered for the first time was not bad at all, liked the burger and fries. For the delay, the host apologised and gave us the nachos as complimentary. Overall satisfied."

"we have only eaten in this place as it is highly valued by various reviewers, but the staff has been challenged and rude. it would be nice for them to get an additional helper because their service cannot be finished with their popularity. Although... the food tasted well, the side that helped by aggressive struring by the staff made the experience unpalatable. when I asked them politely whether they were overworked, the owner said that tourists are like ants and we come to their village, although there are already too many tourists. he said it was good, but not so great to get so many customers. here a little sad with the experience. do not want to eat negativity and pay for it!"

"My partner and I regulate this cosy coffee shop! The service is some of the best in Lauterbrunnen :) The coffees are made properly... which is rare in Switzerland (not coming out of a big machine). You can get sandwiches made-to-order, which we do regularly. They use their own home-made Focaccias! Stefano makes the best in Switzerland!! Although there is one girl who works there (who I have never seen smile :S) and seems not to be bothered, the others are super nice and always have a chat! Definitely recommended when in Lauterbrunnen!"

"We enjoyed our dining experience so much that we had dinner here twice. The fried chicken, pork belly, homemade sausage, and carrot ginger soup were all wonderful. The homemade sausage is some of the best sausage I've tasted in all of Europe. The carrot ginger soup is out of this world great! Our party of four all ordered it both nights. The restaurant also had a good understanding of celiac gluten free requirements for my partner. Good service and reasonably priced, including the local wine by the glass or 1 2 liter carafe."

"Although this restaurant is not even mentioned by Rick Steves in his guides, this place is great. The food we had there was the best we had in Switzerland. Both local cuisine with wild sausage or more typical European cuisine, such as roast baby chicken, were... very good. From their veranda one had a good view of the dustfalls and the surrounding mountains (if it was not cloudy). There were roses on the tables and soft jazz music in the background. But the waiting staff made this restaurant even more. Chris, a summer waiter from Poland, was so good that we returned every night in Lauterbrunnen. Thank you. Chris and thank you to the rest of the waiters and the boss of the virgin."
