"Cotton is a place to go for delicious food, consistently. Every time we gone, which is often, we've always left feeling like “we're definitely coming back”. We had patio seating which was nice. Our server was attentive and the food was the best! I got the pork chop special which came with succotash...OMG!!! Who'd have thought succotash could taste so delicious!!! Drinks were great too! Love Cotton!!"

"I don't know how I missed it in pastness! it is probably the best lunch and dinner place on elm st. first I had to have the bark soup and it was so delicious and stuffed with bark (not hamburger), then, I had the stacked hohe pulled pork with a side mixed vegetables. my lunch companion had the grilled chicken sandwich with a side mixed vegetables. we both loved the veggies absolutely. everything was well seasoned and delicious. the chicken was made with a t and not dry and the shredded bbq swam was perfect! the service was excellent. roberto (our server) was friendly and efficient. as an additional bonus he reminded me of my teachings as one of his 8th grade instructors. diz’s is definitiw on my favorite S list. I can't wait to go back."

"We flew to Vermont just to check this place out and it did not disappoint. We got there early and had a couple drinks while we waited for our table and the drinks were good. For a starter we had fried cheese balls (it had a different name) with anchovie dip and they were AMAZING. For dinner we had Wienerschnitzel and the Maryland crab cake and they were both delicious. The schnitzel was as good if not better than any I had in my travels in Germany. For dessert we had the bread pudding and it was hands down my favorite bread pudding ever. The place is in a converted library and it was cozy. The service was great and we even got a special visit from Melody (the owner) and she was SO sweet. 10/10 would fly back just for that schnitzel."

"This was our second visit and truthfully, it wasn't quite as good as the first! It was still really good though. I deliberately ordered the exact same choices as before, because I enjoyed them so much the 1st time around! Also because I have often felt that restaurants don't always live up to first impressions, so this was a bit of a test! I was hopeful that this one would and for the most part it did, with just a few little disappointments. I am still a fan though and will definitely go back!"

"The meal was wonderful and the service was equally fantastic! Diane made us feel right at home and Mary checked on us a few times. We shared a meat and cheese plate, yum! I had the steak frites and my husband had the duck. Both were delicious and thoughtfully executed. Finished with white chocolate mousse and a bread pudding. Perfect end to an amazing dinner. Thinking we will become regular customers. Looking forward to our next visit and will be recommending this special place to all of our friends and family!"

"I ordered from this restaurant for my birthday party today. I had a delicious and huge antipasto salad. I also requested a football-shaped pizza, which they not only made but also served perfectly. The staff was great, attentive, and helpful during the ordering process. The prices were reasonable. My family and I will definitely be dining here again in the future!"

"Tried for lunch as a suggestion from co-worker, and have eaten at their sister restaurant Republic Cafe). Looked up menu prior to and saw that they had 2 for sure vegan options. They have daily specials. I asked the waiter if what I could get as a vegan aside from the 2 vegan items on the menu. I wanted to try the pasta as it is made fresh daily in house. The waiter suggested that I could do pasta with their arrabiata sauce. I took his recommendation and I was not disappointed. Super accommodating, even brought a separate olive oil/pepper dip for my bread (as the person I was with is not vegan/vegetarian). Will definitely go back to try the vegan options on the menu and see what other vegan creations they can come up with."

"I've been meaning to come here for awhile now, and finally did so to celebrate my 4th anniversary with my husband. The atmosphere was elegant without being stuffy, the staff was helpful and welcoming without being intrusive, and the food was simply outstanding. We opted for the specials this evening (haddock and shrimp in a garlic cream sauce for me, veal chop with mushrooms in a marsala sauce for him; plus the sweet pea ravioli as an appetizer) and couldn't have been happier. The servings were generous, the flavors were harmonious, and the bottle of wine our server suggested was just right. We decided that we'd like to come back more frequently rather than waiting for a special occasion. But I feel like if we know we'll be enjoying a meal like this, that makes it a special occasion in itself! Thank you for making our special day extra nice. And we will see you soon!"

"great atmosphere. the kitchen was slow. serving very small at the price. eating is very tasty and very well made. if they eat regular portions or large portions, order them to start eating (short rib afteros to die for- so good,) can costly for smaller dishes. we were a party of 5 ordered an app should have ordered 2 but around 15.00 per....hmm feeds 2, 3 max. the birthday boy has left after ordering the fish hunger and the flour less cake lasted over 20 minutes to get to the table. we wanted to check when it finally arrived. do not wait for a personal problem, but kitchen. which personal is friendly and attentive. lively place, clean, right in the city. very tasty and tasty eating, simply not enough for cost."

"This is a takeout review. All food is eaten fresh in the vehicle. I ordered some meatballs and a pepperoni pizza. The meatballs were top ten ever restaurant for me, possibly top five. Just really well put together, most, tender, and flavorful. The pizza was also very good, great sauce, good crust. On a scale from 0-10 I would rate this 8.6."

"we were here recently and thoroughly enjoyed his ambiente, traditional farewell and warm hospitality. this historical restaurant (circa 1790) oozes bona fide old world charm with its uneven floors, miraculous treppen, roaming kaminen and antique furniture. the cranberry feeds, served at the beginning of the meal, with freshly lubricated maple butter were delicious. for appetitzügler we have a tasty lobster bisque, a delicious crab shrimp cocktail with a piquant cocktail sauce, a mixed leaf salad with a zingy balsamic vinaigrette tangy blue cheese crumble and not least a cheddar ale onion suppe par excellence. the latter was served in a rustic oven proof-crock dish that kept the suppe warm, the milk cheese was nicely browned and still melted when served. the ratio of brot and wobbly to suppe was exactly right, a hauch of ale gave him additional character and a pronounced taste. it was really lovely to the last drop. for the net we ordered the traditional new england style scrod (a melt-in-your mouth bowl with cheese bread crumb), a juicy chicken pot pie (dender chicken cubes, tasty gravy with a side of the maic), ye olde taverns underwriting mac cheese (featuring chunks of plumps) they came in a high glass, with freshly picked saw and a cherry, as the good old sunflowers of jateryear both in terms of taste and presentation. what a sweet end to a really delicious meal!"
