"Heart warming Italian comfort food. Valenza is a casual Italian restaurant that offers what you expect: pasta, tortellini, ravioli, wedges, subways and pizza. The atmosphere is warmer and more beautiful than the typical subshop or pizza place. Tables are pretty close together, so when it gets busy, you don't have much privacy. We eat here quite often as their red sauce is very good, filled with deep flavors of a sauce that shimmers all day. They can say it is homemade, and is perfect for diving with the freshly baked bread they serve with many meals. The portions are enormous, and you always end up with a bunch of remnants. The prices are favorable for the quality and portion you receive. Our dinner bill for two adults usually runs around $25. The greens in their side salads are often old and devastated, so we go more for the soup. Valenza has a great pizza, we get the deluxe often and it is one of our favorites in the city. I'd just put it behind Chovys for best pizza in Meadville. Very limited selection of drinks and only the cheapest wines available. Overall, Valenza makes food for a nice casual sit-down dinner of Italian comfort with many tasty rests for snack the next day."
