"I went with my brother, his wife, and 2 kids for lunch. The place is definitely touristy, but once you can accept that, and realize that this is a great way to interact with a segment of society that we don't often get to do. We were quickly seated and asked about drinks shortly after. The menu specializes in good ol' stick to your ribs Amish food. I had the Chicken and Noodles over a Biscuit, with the cole slaw as a side. The dish was truly delicious. The serving size was exceptional. The cole slaw was quite good, too. Others in the party had chicken fingers, and a few had fried chicken. If you get Amish fried chicken (OK, first off, it is truly special, whatever exactly you get), you have a ton of choices as to the quantity and the types of pieces. I visit nearby only once every few years, but I always seem to make it out to the country to go here, and I am yet to be disappointed. The service is quick and friendly. I only wish I had room remaining for a piece of pie the pies looked awesome! Within the same building, they sell a wide variety of products. Lots of souvenirs, etc, plus packages of their food, too. If I had room in my suitcase, I'd have bought some of the items to bring with me for home back in Washington. Bring an appetite and expect to leave full!"
