"12/17/2021 Back again! Called in an order for fried chicken and roast pork mixing plate, a cheeseburger and pommes. The fries I said last minute before hanging up and thought if she didn't throw them in, then oh good. But we have the fries! 12/12/2021 Hubby wanted to go when he starved to death after he came home from golf. He got Chicken Fried noodles and a Hamburg steak and Chicken Katsu Mixplate and I got a BBQ cheeseburger. Yum! 10/1/2021 last minute decision to go and pick up an early dinner. Husband had fried chicken and Hamburger Steak plate and I had a cheeseburger and pommes. As always! Also a few months ago, my brother-in-law ordered several party pans of Mochiko Huhn, teri Steak, fried noodles and rice. The whole food was packed in pans and boxes and was ready when we wanted to pick it up. Palisades Drive Inn is still a go-to for its delicious and consistent dishes and friendly, smiling service! 8/17/2021 Called in one order for two Fried Fish plates, one with brown rice and toss, one with white rice and Mac salad. Also ordered Fried Chicken plate, but I forgot to take a picture. The Fried Chicken plate had to be glued and could not be completely closed because it was filled with butterfly chickens. Both were ready when we picked up. Delicious as always! 7/1/2021-Called to order a BBQ mixed plate with brown rice and sown salad. Simple order and was ready when I picked up. This plate has 2 BBQ short ribs, 2 large pieces BBQ chicken, and Teriyaki Steak. Yum! Consistently good food and they give a lot! It's a way to dinner"

"The picture is the main course. It's $28 for what's shown, plus a salad and a false soup. The Katsu was about the length of my hand, while the two Teriyaki fish were smaller than my palm. According to volume, I have more cabbage than anything on the plate. IMO the portions were small, but it is a Japanese restaurant, so I give it an average rating. The Katsu was tender, but saw something burned. Overall, Katsu was good. They gave me a hot mustard with the Katsu sauce, which I thought was interesting and the sauce gave a nice kick. I'll do it alone if I have the chance. The Teriyaki was nothing great. Avg. The corn and Lima beans were probably frozen out of a bag (stung a little considering that it was $28) staff well. He heard me talking about the crab in salad (I am allergic). Give me one without an imitation crab. My grandma got a dish that was served in a long dish/container thing, it was a long series of subjects; it was cracked in several places. To the point I noticed when he took the court away it visually sagging. They could take a little more pride on their dishes. Like it looks like it's halfway on the promotion, why serve? Overall, I give him a generous Avg score because the staff did everything right. Only the food and the plates were not there. How is that what I distinguish from zippers? IMO zipper is cheaper for similar quality food and less cabbage (which is a filler or keeps the hot food from melting through the polystyrene plates) but I swear I have a half head cabbage on my plate. I feel like quality has fallen over the years. The menu has been reduced to a single laminated legal format paper, back and front. Cracked dishes. Why am I reduced to compare what I have with zippers. Something has to deal with justifying the $28 and I didn't see that."
