"Talk about tasty, was not sure when we first started, but Morgan really recovers our server! We had to wait a while for my niece slice of pizza children's meal, but the pasta was impressive! The lasagna must be the best I had, they make their noodles in the house and you can say it! The pizza is what they are known for, but try the pasta a because it is incredible!"

"First time eating at Maria's Old Town 21. The spaced used is very Italian cafe look. It's beautiful inside and out. It was raining today, so the outside was not an option. Had the Lemon Garlic Lamb Chops (Medium), Barataria Caprese, Tiramisu, an Old Fashion, and an Espresso. Everything tasted great. The server was spot on when attending to my table. He was very polite, and he knew his menu well. I will most likely be back to eat something else that they make, haven't yet decided. But whatever it is, it will be delicious."

"What a delightful place to eat and drink. I was visiting from out of town and staying with a local friend. When we entered we were told there would be a half hour wait for a table so we gave them our phone number and went to take a walk downtown and grab a beer at another local, at a local brewery. Once we got the call we went back and were seated right away for our dinner. They're simple yet abundant menu included about a half dozen appetizers, another half dozen or so sandwiches and about 10 entrees to choose from. They also had a separate menu with specials of the day and special choices of daily beers and wine specials. My friend and I both decided to have their fried oysters for an appetizer and they were perfectly cooked and were delicious. We also each chose the flat iron steak, served with a blue cheese sauce. Our steaks were perfectly cooked to our choosing and the sauce went perfectly with the steak. Frites were served, along with a slightly peppery mixed bean saute. We chose a bottle of Malbec to have with our meal which was very reasonably priced and was delicious. We finished our meal with a cherry creme brulee. The service was outstanding The prices were very reasonable and it was a wonderful atmosphere to enjoy a long and leisurely dinner. I will certainly be back."

"My favorite gem in old Towne! Currently having lunch here the Staff will always make you feel welcome, and will take great care of you. Every week there’s something new and fun on the schedule. We frequent at least once a week and it’s never a disappointment. Highly recommend!"

"had the brisket sandwich with optional Slav. it's one of the best I had at BBQ joints. the maisbrot was cake-like, very fine and sweet. like most maisbrot, and was on my family. the makkaroni and cheese side was good except she had too much heat. I like to taste pasta and cheese. good sweet tea (and they are far south enough they can only ask for tee)."

"I love this place for several reasons. First, I Love and respect Spiro for hiring me back in the day when I attended Virginia State University. He fed myself and college roommates when we did not have money and expected nothing in return. He has such a big heart! Secondly, I love this place because of the great food. All meals are made fresh with the finest ingredients which makes for a spectacular menu. The recipes have stayed consistent over the years and all meals are economically priced. I love Bill and Joe too for they have also made Alexander's a great place to dine. Thank you for always making me feel special when I do come to Alexander's. Janet"

"I'm a bit picky when it comes to giving any good word about any restaurant. I don't even waste my time to go to reviews unless it's exceptional. Every time I went in the place and every time I go through the drive-thru I want to shake the owner's hand for caring about quality and service. Truly one of the best. Which has been especially important to me since my uncle before he passed used to always take me every weekend to Whataburger. The Good Vibes continue"

"we're here two times while we're in the opposite with car problems. the Italian sampler was great. great sauce! we had baslava and mandelcreme cake. let me tell them they won't be disappointed! he second night I had the huh parmesan and he had a gyro plate. best food for petersburg virginia! the local love this place so they know it is good! server are friendly! we will stop!"

"absolutely best coffee in petersburg and within at least 30 minutes driving radius! a wonderful escapade. available seating outside the terrace. quiet street and free parking close to foot. excellent, knowledgeable staff. small but precise menu that adds to its quality. I ordered a dirty chai with mandel milk, chai sirup and 2 dishes espresso. it has a wonderful taste and not excessively sharp as some chai can be. the espresso helps to alleviate this. it has a beautiful earth tone color that they want to see in an espresso. overall, highly recommended demolition coffee!"

"I've gotten to the point that I would much rather visit a Mexican restaurant than go to Taco Bell. I normally ask for a burrito supreme with no beans extra meat and cheese. I never get extra meat! I also feel like the meat could be ground a little bit better, I don't like finding big chunks of beef in my burrito or taco. Staff are wearing masks and the prices are somewhat reasonable."

"The term don’t judge a book by its cover describes this place. From the outside that you can pass by without noticing much. The atmosphere and the food are amazing. I can not stress to you enough how good it is. It is extremely hard to find a place that cooks collards right. I felt like I was in my grandmothers home with good southern soul cooking. When me and my wife are here in Petersburg Virginia again we will be back for some good food."

"Let me start off by saying I've been to the Richmond location so its the same owners but this location is blahh.Only reason I gave 2 stars because our waiter was so sweet. Appetizers fried chicken:basically breaded frozen chicken with feathers sticking out.I was shocked that I basically was told that's the way it came so there's nothing they can do about it(how about cut it off before serving Drink:Supposed to be a strawberry margaritas.Horrible a bunch of ice instead of it frozen Entree:Fried fish shrimp mac and collards. Shrimp and collards were well seasoned and good my fish and mac were bland.WTH makes bland mac and cheese.I always give a place 2 times before I call it quits but nothing about this place appealed to me to come back a second time.Bad enough ww stopped in the snow just to eat here"
