"Im shocked this place ranking so high out of Rockland s restaurants. Very diverse menu but it sounds much better then it tastes. We were visiting from NYC area. Overpriced, pierogies with bacon $27.50, ridiculous- not even hand made, looked like Mr T pierogies just a shame, waitress actually said I' ve been telling them to keep it off menu . Vlad Poutine $15, warm in center, cold outside tasted like something you ll buy at the carnival stand, again ridiculous price for what it was. Mole'd pork sides were good, pork itself poor quality cut, dry. Mussels in white wine broth delish. Foccacia bread given to the table was cold, we asked to warm it up waitress said we don't do that . It's a tiny place, so after 5pm ppl started to gather inside to wait for the table it was awkward to enjoy the place sitting amongst standing ppl. Also we were poured 2 diffrent merlos yet on bill was same wine. Again waitress had no explanation how that happened or did anything about it. But overall service was good hopeless kind of. Would not recommend this place. If you want really good food, worth the price, fresh quality cuts, plated with finesse, sitting in the beautiful setting with 6ft apart tables- Samoset Resort italian restaurant is a must try, over 4 days stay we ate there 5 days. Surf and turf, halibut, eggs benedict, calamari, burger, pizetta were absolutely delicious, affordable and we received 5 star service."
