"Café Lebenslust is located directly opposite the entrance of St. Jacob's church. It attracted us as it stood in pleasantly calming contrast to the well filled tourist magnets on the marketplace and the Schmiedgasse. Ambience Cleanliness The interior produces the centuries-old building material of the house discreetly. It is harmoniously decorated with historical furniture and dietary sofas, there are some bookshelves and musical instruments on the wall as well as an interesting mix of images from different eras. Here was someone with attention to detail at work that created a creatively stimulating café house atmosphere. In front of the house there are a few tables on the walkway and there is a beautiful quiet courtyard under the open sky. Cleanliness was exemplary. The colleague from the service was kind and willing to explain the daily offer to us. He quickly disinfected our table and then he started soon. Everything went so smooth. Food Drinks The menu is mixed with pizza, flame cake, fresh bread with different spreads as well as salad and cakes. Here you get tired at noon and you can enjoy something sweet in the afternoon. We chose: · Warm bread with obatzda or red beet pulp. · Applestrudel with cream · Nussecke We drank homemade lemonade and ice tea. The two homemade bread varieties were very tasty and beautifully garnished with some vegetables and acidic cucumbers. Among them is a kernel rye bread that you want more. Especially the red beet paste was something else. The apple strudel was also very successful with thin dough and not too sweet filling. Very recommended. Fortunately, the nutneck is not as heavy and powerful as you sometimes get it. The two homemade drinks were also recommended as hardly sweetened and therefore very fruity. Conclusion A relaxed lunch in an oasis of breathing in a tourist, sometimes heavily laden city. A pleasant contrast to the lively Franconian gastronomy with unusual offer and friendly service."
