"We arrived at the beginning of dinner hour. The doors were open, but no one was in the dining room (although we had reservations). When I stepped to the kitchen door to enquirer, I was disgusted by what I saw. It was filthy. The sink area had black gunk everywhere and the floors looked as though they had never been cleaned. We immediately left. I cannot comment on the food as I would not dare eat it. I'm sorry to have to write this. Perhaps the restaurant owners can turn things around."

"Service was slow very few patrons. Two customers to a table. six customers all together in the restaurant. Three waitresses, 1 backup who delivered the food to the table, refilled drinks and took care of the patron and cleared the table dirty dishes. He was on top of it great job. The backup also brought out the containers filled them with the leftovers, to take home. Also brought the bill out and took it back to the cashier. What is going on with these waitresses. Did they have to cook? Did they have to do dishes? Whenever"

"If you are in search of high-quality, absolutely delicious and filling Chinese cuisine, don't hesitate, make your way to New Mandarin Garden. We recently ordered food from this restaurant through DoorDash and we were blown away. The Cilantro Chicken was absolutely amazing. The House Special Chow Mein was incredibly flavorful and tasted as if it had just been made in someone's grandma's kitchen. Both dishes were delicious, but the Lettuce Wraps (chicken) were a burst of delicious flavors. The lettuce boat was just the right size and depth. And finally, the Egg Rolls were crispy, fresh, and filled with vegetables."

"The Rare Beef Pho came piping hot with loads herb garnish and digestives for a fresh at home experience. The broth was light with a rich flavor and packed full of aromatics. Rare does mean rare though, so for anyone turned off by raw meat this may not be the dish for you. The fried eggrolls were delicious but make sure to wrap them with the lettuce and herbs before dipping in nuoc cham."

"We chose Nick's San Clemente for our anniversary dinner. If I could give 10 stars, I would, 5 for food and 5 more for service. We knew the food would be great to have eaten at other Nick's sites, but that was extraordinary because of the service that was attentive, without being intrusive. We started with the fried asparagus, great choice. For Entrees my husband had the bistro plate with petite fillet mignon, cup soup and bistro salad. I pictured the Zioppino, packed with huge shrimps, salmon, sea bass, mussels and mussels. We finished the lemon cake, whose half came home tomorrow. The staff even gave us an anniversary card, a really nice note. We'll be back soon."

"MY husband and I eat here ALL the time. He loves taco bell. The staff here is always so nice to us too. And they're pretty fast. Only complaint is they do mess the order up a lot. It's not really a big deal to us cause we just come back around and they fix it. Sometimes since they mess it up they give us extra stuff so that's nice (and totally worth it to me). They even allowed us to come back the next day when they forgot something (a lot of restaurants wouldn't allow that) which is nice cause I'd hate to drive all the way back out for one taco. (We normally order too much food anyway). Also I love how they aren't stingy on the hot sauce. Sometimes they give too much but now I have a collection at home for taco nights. I'll never have to buy taco sauce again!"

"Location of the restaurant does it for me. Six stars. However, the location is not the only thing. Yes, being at the restaurant on the pier is fun but the overall experience should be accompanied by good food and service, and this restaurant delivers on all fronts. We visited this place on a few occasions in the past and always had a great time. This dining experience was the best so far. This time around we enjoyed the Fisherman's Feast option from the menu. It was a four course meal that came with clam or mussel bucket, clam chowders, salad with your choice of dressing, and star of the dinner which was selection of fish or crab. We opted for halibut. Every element of the feast was very good. plenty of clams that tasted great mixed with butter and spicy sauce. regular clam chowder and fisherman's chowder were both delicious. Great textures, seasoning and preparation. I highly recommend either. fresh salad with various greens and dressing of your choice. halibut was cooked perfectly. Nice charring on the outside and moist and glistening flesh inside. This wild caught fish was given full respect and became the star of our meal. cream brûlée was perfect to finish the feast. They caramelised the sugar very well. Nice pairing with strawberries. I will be coming back for sure and recommend this restaurant if you are in the San Clemente area."

"Wonderful experience. Food was excellent !From the moment we approached the hostess stand we ware greeted by a lovely and friendly lady. We got settled in the middle of the gorgeous patio as we requested. Service was great. Our waiter brought me Italian gelato ? treat for my birthday at the end of our dinner. This was a nice surprise as I didn’t expect it, since this days hardly any place gives out any birthday treats. Definitely the best place in town."

"You must try this restaurant! It is owned by a skilled chef and their talent shines through in the food. The wings are incredibly delicious, especially with the sweet Asian sauce. The short rib sandwich is juicy and full of flavor. The flat iron steak in the steak and fries dish is tender and juicy, with a delightful salsa verde/chimichurri combination to elevate the dish. The pork belly in the bahn mi is incredibly tender and bursting with flavor. This restaurant is definitely one of the top choices in the area. If you haven't been yet, do yourself a favor and make a stop!"

"I can't believe we've been coming here for over a year! It's absolutely stellar! We decided to visit based on a recommendation and it turned out to be the best choice of the night. The staff takes excellent care of you! The pizza is the best I've ever had. Be sure to try it with the New York-style crust and cornmeal—it's delicious and perfectly crispy. Make sure to arrive early after they open. We can't wait to go back! Oh, and the beer is really good too!"

"The service at this restaurant is inconsistent. I have been dining here for over 10 years, and every time I visit, a new server asks me if it's my first time. Even worse, they often shout over and interrupt our conversations. This should not be happening at all. I wish they would properly train and retain their staff. While the food is good, the portion sizes seem to be getting smaller with each visit. There is a lot of room for improvement here. I hope they make the necessary changes to provide better service."

"Literally, one of the 2 best meals I've ever eaten in San Clemente. So sad we didn't try it sooner as my neighbor has been raving about Village Mediterranean for a while! The lamb Oso Bucco was better than FABULOUS!! Hubby had the Sea Bass with Crab pesto, Pear salad and Panna Cotta....also excellent. The biggest problem for me was choosing among the many delicious sounding entrees!! Guess I'll have to go back soon to try them!!!!! But seriously, skip the chains from Laguna and try this placeYou won't be disappointed."

"I'm assuming it was the owner who served me. He was really nice and cracked a few jokes while I was ordering. It was my first time having a lobster roll. $30 seemed kinda crazy for 1 roll, it's size, and the amount of meat you get, but I had to try it while on vacation. Two small sides are included. The beans were ok, but the blue cheese slaw was great. The cioppino was a pretty small bowl, and the shellfish seemed a bit overdone. I had to try it though to see what the rave was all about. It just didn't hit the spot for me personally."

"I don’t tend to give bad reviews for establishments.We came here after searching for a sushi restaurant from Yelp. The reviews on Yelp is completely off from my opinion. It’s not a 4.5 star restaurant. I would not come here again. They are not children friendly and don’t offer high chairs. They didn’t have it. Felt I wasted my money eating here."

"We had delivery from here to our friends Laguna beach house and it was soooo delicious!!! I had one of the biggest salads I've ever had. My children had an Acai bowl and a smoothie, very healthy and delicious!!! So funny. Can't wait to try the lens bowl that all the others got and sleep. Love this place!!"
