"Updated review: I was contacted by the Bella Vista Manager after posting my review. He was apologetic and offered us a partial refund for the evening and a complementary Sunday buffet when we?re back in the area. Even though this doesn?t change the experience I appreciate that they?re aware that the evening could?ve been improved and how to do it. Seems they?re headed in the right direction. I would just call beforehand and check on their menu and position of your table, outside is the nicest or next to a fireplace inside. Original post: I went to the Bella Vista restaurant for Christmas dinner with my family. We were 6 people in total. Bottom line, for the we paid the food, service, and ambiance were not what we expected. 850 for the 6 of us. The first plate was ricotta cheese with a cracker, the rest just as disappointing. Service took a really long time. You couldn't hear anything, acoustics were terrible. We should've left mid dinner when we realized it was not what we expected..."

"Gorgeous surroundings! Nestled in the hills of Montecito. The staff is so accommodating and they don’t rush you through your meal. I ordered Jack Rose at the bar- it’s a smoky cocktail that’s totally worth the $35 that I spent on it. I took a gf here for here Birthday and they made sure to make her feel special! She ordered the Halibut and I ordered the Short Ribs. The Oysters were decadent!! This item that is not on the menu, but I BEG you to order is Venison carpaccio. Coffee crusted and delicious!"

"Forget the places on the state street, just a few blocks away we found this place to have better food and it was even a little less expensive! the no-Lard brand is available, and the fishtacos used quality fish that was grilled, not cheap fried fish. my burrito was huge! highly recommended."

"I love Santa Barbara and getting seafood from there. My mom was looking for a restaurant that served scallops and the closest one with good reviews was this one.Atmosphere: the restaurant is beautiful inside and out. Well designed with a good color balance. The one thing I didn't love was feeling like the servers were right behind me worth them having their conversations. Otherwise it was a good placement (adjacent to the pier and nice looking.Service: The staff seemed nice. We were seated quickly. The server introduced himself initially. It took another server to ask of we needed bread and it felt a little like a shuffle since a different server brought out the food. It took awhile for the server to return to thr table so we sat for awhile after finishing our food before we were able to find him again to box our food and get the check. We had to ask for a bag for our two boxes instead of them offering. I also felt like this was medium price but it would help if the servers helped to put the food into the boxes instead of making the patrons do it themselves. It would make it seem more like a higher end restaurant.Food: (1st I know Fiesta Fest was last week but I found a piece of confetti on my bread plate. It's just not a good look. Also the look of my dish when it got to me was a little messy. The pasta that we had was good but not great. The sauce felt like it needed a bit more of a bold flavor and a bit thicker (it had a bit of a watery pesto taste and didn't taste like it utilized the umami taste that the mushrooms could have given it. The shrimp were great and the pasta was perfect texture. (I always wish that shrimp in pasta dishes didn't require me to work and use my hands to take thr tail off but that's not specifically just this restaurant .Overall, it was a good experience but there were just a few things that kept it from feeling like a great experience."

"We have been visiting Santa Barbara for decades and we always have enjoyed the food and service at Chase. On a Saturday night, we made reservations and had a short wait before being seated. Ordered a cocktail and it took 20 minutes to arrive. It took 20 more minutes to flag down someone to take our order. After delivering our appetizer without any utensils, I asked the waitress for a fork. She replied, I am not your waitress and left. My wife and I both thought, maybe they are short staffed, however we were looking forward to a great meal. That didn't happen. Our meal was soggy and tasteless. Mushrooms were canned and pasta tasted liked a can of tomato paste. Portions were small. Presentation was not there. We felt like we were eating in an Elementary Cafeteria. So sad this place has gone downhill. I wouldn't be surprised if this place fails, as we were not the only patrons comparing our service and meals to the old Chase staple we had gone to for years."

"Like many places in Santa Barbara, Cody’s has had to make adjustments for Covid 19 reasons, and are no longer attached to their sister restaurant on the Mesa , and the menu has slightly changed, along with the prices. But the people are the same, awesomely nice and the drinks are very strong , something that have kept the locals loyal and it won’t disappear like Goleta Coffee across the way. Something the scientists from the reality show Bar Rescue could learn from. The Breakfasts are hearty and used to be a favorite of the working fisherman back in the day . The Californian Benedict, with its perfectly cooked poached egg and tomato and avocado is a known favorite of the local Santa Bar-barbarians and for a slight fee , add those to the Fairfax Benedict I think it’s a wink to Canter’s Deli in LA on Fairfax) which is Smoked Salmon on a bagel, cream cheese, poached egg, Homemade Hollandaise sauce and is served with a choice of potatoes , cottage fries or their perfect hash browns and homemade salsa. I can’t eat like that anymore, so I got the grilled Fresh Salmon that I photographed ,because it looked like a perfect still life painting ! Healthy too ! Sadly, because of the Covid, the price was $20 and with tea and tax , plus a tip ,well, I can’t afford to eat there everyday like I had for the past 20 years. (Maybe when the Covid 19 is over ; prices will go down again The Salads and Hamburgers are just as good as they were decades ago. I especially enjoyed the $13 Gorgonzola Salad with its cheese and mandarins , and for $7 extra , you can add a piece of grilled Chicken or Salmon. Now with outdoor seating, they also have a cozy banquet room and side bar (although I haven’t seen it used much since the Covid and for the same reason, it is no longer open for dinner . ? Sigh , it’s the end of an era in Santa Barbara. But for Breakfast and Lunch it is still one of the best “Local Favorites “ in Goleta."

"Not good. Cacio e Pepe was drowned in olive oil, lasagna was cold. Food took over an hour to come out. Saw the waiter 4 times in that span and not once was anything offered outside of a drink for us. Used to be great but this place is just not anymore. Better off trying somewhere else."

"We tried this restaurant for the first time during Restaurant Week and we ordered items both from the fixed-price menu and à la carte. The crab cake, the salmon entrée and the black pizza were excellent: made from high-quality ingredients and with attention to technique. It was also a pleasant surprise to find a Dolomiti beer on the drink menu. It did not take long for us to become fans of this establishment and we will definitely be back again."

"Our favorite spot in Santa Barbara. This time we went for dinner with friends and a movie after in walking distance at the theatre. Dinner was perfect, best steak with sides. Complimentary veg crudo. Great steak tartar, roasted beets salad, tomato salad, everything really. Roasted marshmallow with grand manier flambé was a highlight"

"When I walked in I was very warmly greeted by the host, a young man with a big smile and great attitude. He was excellent at communicating and my sister and I were seated in less than four minutes; however, it was all downhill from that point. FIRST, to the left of the front door the bar is located and I watched a server putting a straw in a drink and throwing the wrapper on the floor. The service was incompetent and inadvertently forgot two separate request and refused to show up to the table with a pad and writing tools to take the order to help her retention, instead she spent the entire experience apologizing. When our food arrived, my food was lukewarm and my Sister's fettucine was overcooked and lacked seasoning. My swordfish was undercooked, the vegetables were charred but raw, and the potato romano was almost cold. When we informed the server, she apologized again and had a new plate brought out 45 minutes into the experience and 15 minutes after my Sister's meal. Sad part was that I was celebrating my Sister's birthday. Needless to say, it was a horrible experience the food is incredibly bland, the bar staff are unprofessional, and the chef does not care what comes out of the kitchen. Save your money and protect your memories that you attempt to create with your family."

"Update The McDs app is super easy to use and an easy way to place orders and earn points for free food! I am definitely a love it!!! Ah. Not yet a fan of some of the last happy food toys, the newspaper the Jenga game was another mistake, but the Battleship Post-it 's were pretty cool! Fast 5 stars... Fast friendly service, fresh hot pommes on request, COVID complies staff and customers (each wore masks), very clean restaurant,Yay! McD's Corporate Big Perücks, what about the stupid happy food toy or rather paper coloring poster... You have to explain to a toddler! It torn before he finished his nuggets! Sorry, no fan."

"I don 't know how I missed trying this place for so long. It is sort of a 'hidden gem, ' so maybe that 's my excuse. It isn 't often that a hidden gem keeps winning Best Of awards year after year, especially in a foodie town like Santa Barbara. Super Cucas has a long, well-earned, string of those Best Ofs. My fiance had beef enchiladas and loved them. I went with the shrimp super plate and it was simple but perfect. Rice, grilled fresh vegetables, and grilled shrimp. Absolutely delicious. The service was friendly, the prices are great, and you can even buy all of the ingredients to take home from their market and make your own creation. It 's a winner."

"This specific manager is known to be very rude to customers, unlike the other employees who have always been friendly to me in the 8 years I have been a customer. The last time I visited, I inquired about receiving service again, and they refused. As I was leaving, another employee got in my face with her phone, telling me to leave or she would call the police. I told her to go ahead and call the cops as I had done nothing wrong. She continued to approach me aggressively, and I threw a half cup of soda at the door to get her to back off. I was waiting for the cops to arrive so I could explain the situation. I will be addressing this issue on April 30th, 2014, with your two lower state employees. I have generally had positive experiences with your crew, except for Betty, who has always been extremely rude to me. I also find it concerning that employees are allowed to smoke in front of the restaurant while working. Please ensure that you continue to hire good employees and address Betty's behavior towards long-time customers. Customers should not be attacked without cause. Please prioritize hiring kind-hearted individuals, as that is what McDonald's is all about - not abuse. Thank you."

"Friday 4/15. the workers and waiters were wonderful! mushroom pappardelle was completely tasteless. as not seasoned. the fish and chips were not at all fish and chips that were spoiled with some fried veggies. not bad, you should not call fish and chips. caeser was kreatiw, but dressing tasted as if it came from a bottle, not one of the typical garlic, lemon, cheese biss. very bland. if they don't update this here, it won't take time. there are too many other good restaurants in sb."

"December 17th 3:15 3:30 pm The 'Milpas ' is the habit I grew up with. The one on state street is good but this is the location me and my father would eat at while he was alive here on earth, it is/was something special to me.the Customer service is #1 and the burgers are in my opinion best..THAT BEING said up here the NAMPA Idaho location is a completely different subject. I 've been completely ignored and just treated Differently. I 'm posting here because it doesn 't go anywhere the NAMPA Idaho location please help It won 't let me post the video of the interaction with the manager and general manager of this location. How can I complain higher than the general manager at a location I believe this is the third or fourth time WE/I have walked out of this location The Customer Service is 'no bueno ' and I order for 5+ or more when I go. I 've never just ordered for me it 's always been for my family of 5 or more. Didn 't know I needed a membership or had to be part of the cool kids to eat there."

"Harry's has been one of my favorite spots since the late 1960's. I guess I am stuck on them. I even had my husband's memorial there because he was also a fan. You know the saying where everybody knows your name ? Yes, it is a place like that. Strongdrinks so watch your tolerance levels. The food is more than adequate, but don't expect gourmet fare. The service is beyondcompare 99.9 percent of the time. I don't think you can go wrong."

"We hadn?t eaten in Dargens since we were there for a quick bite and a congenial evening lecture. I thought then, I wanted to stop back sometime. It wasn?t fancy nor was it trying to be cute or nostalgic. It is just an honest very homey place to gather, but the surprise is not only can you get a nice selection of beers and ales, they have truly delicious food from the best corned beef Ruben sandwich I have ever eaten to the most savory traditional corned beef and cabbage dinner. It is traditional with an individual chef?s touch in the gravy and wonderful spices. Of course the key to the success of these dishes is the fabulous cut and prepared corned beef. Now there is corned beef and then there is meat that is really Corned Beef and this is definitely the best. I say this not only as a reviewer who loves this dish but as a top notch butcher?s niece who was a major distributor of quality meats in the New York metropolitan area. I should also add that they have an additional diverse menu of salads and sandwiches. The ones we tried were very good. This is a no frills place with food that could match some of the best restaurants in town.. Somehow being low key adds to its specialness."
