"Gotten rolls here and the food was always good. Customer service has been good as well. However, the last 2 times the fish quality was very good but the fish portion size was so tiny I had to remove a few stars. The sashimi lunch slices were paper thin and the fish on my roll was literally the size of my nail, a few millimeters long ? I've never seen somewhere be so skimpy with the fish. Solid quality fish and food overall but terrible portion sizes for the price 3/5 ??"

"Highly recommended by a friend and always reluctant to go because it was such a hassle to find parking at Union Square. Finally had the opportunity to go and found a good parking spot. Highly recommend to go by public transportation or Lyft to save yourself some trouble. I ordered the half Peruvian Roasted Chicken that includes 1/4 dark and 1/4 white, I personally like dark meat more, depends on personal taste. The roasted chicken was very rich in flavor, juicy and not heavy. The plantain was delicious with the sauces (spicy and non spicy) the server gave us. The staff was very friendly and from Honduras. "Nice dining experience in Somerville. Came here to celebrate a birthday, and we were very taken with the cosy atmosphere. Our wait time, despite the reservation, was a few minutes because there were so many people inside. The AC was on full blast to compensate for the humidity inside and supposedly the temperature outside. This made the table cold when sitting down and dining. Our waitress was managing several tables throughout the evening. It was hard for us to get her attention at times, and she was not very descriptive of the dishes. That said, food came out relatively quickly when ordering. Dishes to note included the garlic shrimp, lamb meatballs, roasted duck, and the artichokes. The others in my party like the beef dishes, particularly the one with the chimmichurri sauce. The potatoes, fried cheese, and octopus were ok probably hyped too much. The churros were definitely a nice dessert. The dulce de leche sauce was better than the traditional chocolate the team makes everything in house! In terms of drinks, the house made sangria is worth it. Added to that, there are several cocktails that we looked into as well. Would definitely love to come back to this welcoming restaurant, and hope to do so soon !"

"Could not rate this place any higher. Going back for the third time, I was excited about the LOTR week and the social media managers assured me I could order those drinks even after the special ended. My sister and I were able to go the week after, and after learning why we were so eager about the drinks (our mom passed recently and loved the series, it is special to our family), they even created special menus for us! The manager brought over a little Gandalf Lego figure to our delight and let me keep it…I have the Saruman one already! I teared up at their kindness, playfulness, and understanding. It is pretty special to find a bar owned and staffed by people like this. Go to Backbar but go early, they have many fans like me ready to take up their few tables!"

"Wife had sushi. I had Hibachi. Great parts. Good value. Many remains for both of us for lunch the next day. Only disappointment was allowed to sit a Hibachi table because the woman had sushi. Hibachi was cooked in the kitchen and brought to our dining table. The room was too quiet. Needs music, otherwise you can clearly hear conversations at other tables. Bonus it? BYOB."

"We’ve been to Five Horses Tavern in the past and it’s always enjoyable. The food on the menu is delicious and isn’t your typical tavern fare. They offer a range of seafood, veggie and meat options which is great when your party has different tastes. The only reason 1 star was taken away was for prices since I don’t remember a 6 oz glass of wine to be $13 and small appetizer plate to be $14. I usually see these prices at more upscale restaurants. I think having lower cost appetizers and drink options would make more customers happy."

"A peaceful oasis amidst the bustle of David Sq. The service was very good and attentive. Food came out soon. We ordered Miso Soup, Organic Salad and a few rolls. I loved the dressing on the Salad and the greens were good. Not too much dressing, which I appreciated. The maki rolls were also very good. Fresh and interesting. My only complaint was the soup was a bit watery. But given how good the food was this may have been a once off. We will be back."

"I chose the Chicken Lettuce Roll-Ups Appetizer and the Beef and Cumin Wok Dish with a side of White Rice... I also chose Hot Green Tea (very delicate flavor and quite delectable) and Hot Water after that... The Chicken Lettuce Dish was not as I expected and I thought it would come like how the Vietnamese prepare it and forget about the Japanese/Chinese technique to add everything ourselves... You will need to reorder more condiments (finely sliced carrots, cucumber, and green onions) with it to prepare the 'taco-like ' experience... The Chicken was very tender and there was leftover for a snack or light lunch with the leftover rice... The Beef was definitely marinated in Cumin and Cumin has medicinal benefits; the flavor was excellent and it was mixed with Red Onions, Green and Red Bell Peppers, and Pineapples... I definitely advise to get this dish if you enjoy Cumin and Beef... I ended with Green Tea Mochi, which came with artistic Whipping Cream, Strawberries, and Chocolate Syrup... This was a nice ending, but eat it quick since writing this review and eating Mochi left me with my last bite a bit melted and stuck to the plate... Very delicious... My server was Brian and he was attentive, quick, and quite polite and soft mannered; ask for him and TIP him well..."

"my friend and I really loved eating here. quite everything was delicious and so tasteful. the ambiente was also very quiet and peaceful, but also busy as the night went. the garnel curry was absolutely amazing. the bhale Tibetan brot was light and fluffy and so delicious. the soups were both delicious. the Tibetan tee was comforting and tasty, but also strange if you didn't have it before. the momos (pumps) were probably our least favourite dish, as the teig was not as light and tasteful as we would have wished. we would probably forgive these 4.5 stars if possible a half star abduction, because the service was not very good. they were a bit inconspicuous (we hadn't even filled our waters without asking us) and they were a bit inconspicuous. but the speed of the incoming foods and the quality of the food well balanced. in any case, we will definitely be back!"

The food was exceptional- solid portions, really tasty and well-spice, and lots of extras that enhance the overall experience. It’s off the beaten path in Teele Sq. but would make a nice dinner spot for anyone in Cambridge or Somerville. Definitely a restaurant worth supporting."

"Service was SOOOO Sub-par. We waited at the front door for almost 4 minutes before some lady with junk makeup all over her face came and said oh. Not sorry. Nothing...Shame. Then, it took 2 other people to figure out that we were waiting for a table. Finally we got seated but no one ever took drinks or food order. We had to stop a random person and demand service. That person was phenomenal. Everyone else in the place needs to wake up! I'm pretty sure I saw managers walking around without a care in the world for what was going on. Shame. Food was awesome. I was disappointed that for an appetizer that we expected to share, there are only 2 chicken tacos?!?? $15 for 2...Boo. Turn down the radio too. I couldn't hear myself think! Shame"

We had the Burger with the egg in it , what a MASSIVE burger Ordered fries and got a HUGE box ! And mac n cheese with pulled pork was in a tray and it was LOADED PLEASE guys never change, great quality and portions , I am a customer as long as I live in Mass !"
