"Eating at Columbia has become a family tradition of ours for over a decade however, our most recent experience at the Sarasota location was very disappointing in regards to our entrées, The rice was severely undercooked. The manager was very apologetic. Also, the cocktails were not satisfactory. The Ybor location should visit and train the kitchen/bar. The wait staff was amazing."

"If you're looking for a place that serves diner like food, you should try Tasty Home Cookin. It's an old fashion type atmosphere when you walk in. Service is always prompt! My other and I only have been twice as I have been here once before a while back, but he has been wanting to try it out, so we went, and you will be full when you leave. The eggs are fully cooked to your liking if you want breakfast, which I had the other day. They have plenty of coffee to go around and are glad to refill you. We are definitely coming back to try the lunch and dinner selections on the menu. Today, my other had their biscuits and gravy with extra gravy as he said they were good and filling."

"Perfect salads adorned either extra crunchiest that worked well, scallops were tender, fresh and flavorful. Six scallops is astounding! I thought four for lunch would be served. Dessert shot glass choices are fun and worth the calories. Service timed a little slow but very personable (not busy at lunch)."

"A true neighborhood style deli, have been a regular for 5 years and just tried the Cubanna for the first time. I can't believe I took this long to try the best option on the menu IMO. (Surfer and Italian my usual go to) Anna's is forever 11/10"

"We signed up for membership today and ate here for the first time. Sitting here still and felt compelled to write a review while we wait for our server. The atmosphere is lovely and very convenient after going through museums. Dawn was our server and was likely the worst service we’ve ever had. She was more than fifteen minutes greeting us, never checked on us after our food was delivered by runners and when she brought our bill still never asked us even then if everything was ok even though more than half of my plate was still intact. I won’t even discuss food because I should have gone with my original thought and tried a sandwich before going straight for the polenta with scallops. Not a great choice today."

"Great vibe for a local casual bar and eatery. We lost our reservations and couldn’t afford a long wait with 2 little kids and they graciously sat us right away. The staff was super friendly even from those that were not waiting on us. Thank you to Braeden, our server, and also Tim for tag teaming our entire experience the other night. Hopefully I got their names right. The grouper was so flaky and perfectly cooked and we couldn’t walk away without getting a couple stuffed animals for the kids. Couldn’t have asked for a better evening. Thank you! Kid-friendliness: Very casual with a perfect menu for kids along with crayons and fun worksheet. Well lit and colorful decor. Live music. Inside and outside seating. The walls were lined with different coconut designs. A fairly priced selection of kids stuffed animals as a gift option to take home."

"Went out for dinner before we left on our anniversary week. Ordered a Cosmo. It wasn't good, too sour. Returned it was completed reimbursed without issue. Ordered a Jameson instead. My dinner was good, but my husband Ordered their Rib Special For $10!!. It was great! When we were leaving owner asked me how it was and I said good. He said, you didn't say great, so what can we do better? I told him about my Cosmo and before I could tell him they made it right, he offered us free drinks. We explained we had to get home to pack for our anniversary. He said wait here. Then he brought a bottle of champagne for our anniversary. Talk about Above and Beyond!! That's what makes me loyal. Great customer service. Old Review Was out with freinds and it was late, so we thought we'd grab a quick bite of Mexican. Unfortunately, even though website said they were open till 9, when we showed up at 8:40, they were completely closed with chairs up and all. So we noticed a little restaurant called NEAT in same shopping strip. What a great find. Varied menu, good prices and great food. Service by Oliver was excellent. Will be back for sure."

"Haven't been here for years. In the early 1990s and into the 2000s it was one of the best restaurants in Sarasota. It has deteriorated in the few decades past and the competition has been healthy. Food is okay but not great by a long shot. Waiter was good but too slow in getting back to the table and stretched it into a 2 hour ordeal. Atmosphere is okay but outdated. All and all, a lot of other places in Sarasota to frequent."

"Our server was hovering over a table of 8 in the back. We waited over 20 minutes for her to get us our check while processing the 8 individual bills before even addressing us and clearing our table. She apologised sort of when she bout us our check. We paid and left the restaurant while the individual table of 8 were still sitting visiting. Everyone else, including the food and presentation was a 5 except our accountable server."

"Main Bar has been my go to for a quick lunch for decades whenever I'm in town. I typically order take out before noon, as it gets crowded when court is in recess for lunch. It's a no frills establishment with tables close together. and a dish of soft mints at the front counter. There are interesting photos from the circus on the walls, as I believe prior owners performed with Barnum Bailey. The showstopper is the New Yorker thinly sliced rare roast beef, tomatoes, and horseradish sauce on a soft warm kaiser roll. I prefer the dab of potato salad over the slaw. Other tried and true favorites the sultan salad (greek with tuna fish on top), the italian (what main bar is famous for), and gazpacho. But I don't think you can go wrong here. I just can't stop ordering the new yorker. oh, plan to smell like onions if you dine in. just part of the charm."

"Had Dinner at Van Wezel before attending Come From Away. Dinner was absolutely delicious!! The food was wonderful and we made sure to let the chef know. Our waitress Annalia was an absolute delight and made sure that the dinner was the start of a perfect evening. And if you have never seen Come From Away, it is delightful, emotional and quite memorable and be sure to bring a hanky; you'll need it."
