"Went for our 10th year anniversary. Food was wonderful Trout with Spetzle was great, oysters were wonderful and fresh, venison sausage was superb. Portion sizes just right. Nice wine list! Service was very good. Ryan was very knowledgeable, good waiter… there when you needed him. Offered his knowledge but was not pushy or upselling. One of the liquors was out that my wife ordered and a woman bartender with a charming accent offered a suggestion that proved far better than what my wife initially offered. Nice atmosphere, not too noisy, easy to chat without having to yell or say “what” all the time… we will return."

"When we want authentic Mexican food, we always choose Tavos. Last Saturday we forgot to make a reservation and when we arrived, the wait time was 30 minutes. No problem. The corner seats at the bar were free so we chose to sit there instead. And what a delight. It was casual, and relaxed. The drinks were exquisitely made and the appetizers come up in record time followed by perfectly prepared entrees. I love the fact that corn tortillas are used to prepare the encilladas. None of those chewy flour on this menu. All in all a great experience. Higly recommend Tavos when you want authentic Mexican cuisine."

"Called before we went it. Had a group of 12. Person on the phone said they weren’t too busy and we were 3 minutes away. We were able to be seated as soon as we were there. Waitress was rude and seemed overwhelmed that we were there. Everyone is short staffed I get it, but they knew we were coming. Ordered the drinks, she threw the straws on the table. Came back about 10 minutes later and took our order. Food came out quick and was good. Just bad service."

"the atmosphere is casual and relaxed but very peaceful and enjoyable. The food is amazing, all made from scratch. my reason for the four star is the portions are very small for everything we ordered. Most concerning was the spanakopita as one of the items we split and we each ended up with a half inch sliver. Very tiny considering we paid 18.00 for that with two sides. on the upside the 2 sides of greek salad and lentil soup were extremely well made and delicious. So in a nutshell, great food, small portions. potatoes and tofu scramble super amazing delicious but small portion."

"We had lunch at The Mad Hatter Restaurant Bakery and the food was exceptional. We ordered the Pear and Brie Panini and the Mixed Berry Salad along with a lemonade and ice tea drink. The salad was fresh, tasty and was a perfect combination of berries, nuts and greens. The Pear Brie Panini came on sourdough bread that was grilled to perfection. There are parking spaces behind the restaurant. The bakery has a variety of sweet treats to entice any sweet tooth. I highly recommend this restaurant. To quote Alice in Wonderland…”It’s no use going back to yesterday because I was a different person then”…but I’d go back to yesterday to eat at The Mad Hatter Restaurant Bakery again!"

"Such an adorable restaurant with amazing food! The original restaurant we chose in Rochester had too much of a wait time so we found this place on google and we decided to give it a shot. We parked across the road in the public parking lots that we paid for 2 hours and walked over. This place is so cozy and felt like you were coming over to someone’s home for dinner! We have a mix group of vegetarian/gluten free/omnivores so this place met our every need! I got the special which was a pasta with blush sauce and mozzarella and tempeh. The food was so good we forgot to take photos of it! We would be happy to go back to this restaurant when we come back up to Rochester."

"Only have been here 2x but I’ve yet to be disappointed! My parents and I love this place and definitely will continue to come here. We’re German/Irish descent and have never had Eastern European cuisine prior. The workers are very friendly and offered me to try a sample of something i was asking about. "It's hard to find *GOOD* vegan restaurants. We had a special event and found this online so we came up from Buffalo for dinner. It was amazing. The service was great, the atmosphere cozy and the food was incredible. The bar drinks were great too. We had four dinners, appetizers, desserts and five bar drinks and, with tax and tip it was $230 which is a great price. Loved this place and will definitely come back again. It's worth an hour drive and we highly recommend it."

"This place is WONDERFUL! We have become “regulars” during our two week stay in Rochester. We have LOVED every single thing we have ordered and we haven’t even tried a dessert yet. People seem to order a lot of desserts at the counter and take them home—we are always way too full after our meal to even think about it. The service is wonderful—the waiter recognizes us now and he is warm, attentive, and genuine. He is working his tail off but never fails to pay attention to the details. I recommend sitting outside because it’s a great corner for people watching. Back to the food. "Lovely outside seating area with lights under the umbrellas, easy parallel parking right in front of the restaurant. The flights were $16 and fun trying different wines, there’s a red and white flight. The charcuterie $28 was amazing, wish it had some type of fruit whether grapes or strawberries or nuts, was lacking in that way. The octopus was very tender and left me wanting more, only 6 pieces $23, kind of disappointing. The burger had a good flavor but was very oily so the bottom bun was soggy, had to eat the burger with a fork and knife. We also got a dessert flight that was amazing, so unique and high ABV so truly authentic. Overall would return for good service, charcuterie, wine."

"Kate was absolutely amazing. I was here for a night for business and after trying to find a restaurant open before 5pm I stumbled across Christopher’s. Although they didn’t have a food menu at that time, they had a full bar and complimentary chips and salsa. Kate was so sweet and made our night, she told us about all the restaurants nearby and even walked us out and showed us where to go. We went to get food but came back because of the amazing service! "Such a great place, with excellent service and drinks, but on a lovely 75 degree day in May it was 83 degrees inside. ? Stagnant air and completely unnecessary heat are not conducive to focus or conversation. I even had a tank top on but I only lasted 30 minutes before retreating to Java's only 6 minutes away, where the environment is kept comfortable, and the place much more spacious and visually appealing . I've been coming here 5 years if they think 83 degrees is reasonable I'm going elsewhere. To each their own."
