"If you like beer and a variety of it, this is the place! IPAs, lagers, sours, wine, and more (they need some wheat beers). The menu options are unusual and delicious! We had several brew breads, the American and the Pittsburg, along with an American brew board. Plenty of good flavors! The service was excellent and the staff were friendly. "The Wheel Barrel is a great place to just hang out. But, tonight, I had a sandwich that will make me come back even more often. The 'Not Your Mama 's ' BLT was a tasty combination of bacon, greens showered in a light vinaigrette, tomato, and herbed goat cheese. Normally, they would serve it with a sriracha aioli. I chose the basil pesto aioli and was not disappointed. The sandwich along with kettle cooked chips and a bottle of pineapple cider made for a good night out with my friend."

"This is one of the old pancake house in Topeka KS downtown. When I visited for office trip, coworkers told that it’s more than 30 yrs old. Service was a bit slow and it wasn’t sparkly clean but not dirty either. I ordered spinach and mushroom omelette with tomato Hollandaise sauce on it, it was average and the sauce wasn’t tasting as Hollandaise sauce. French toast on side was nice and tasty. Coffee was nice. French toast looks good to try next time."

"Super cool concept. Lovely that the children's meal comes with a big oreo ice sandwich and loves the 50s theme and music. It would be much better if the meat on their burgers was not the frozen rubber goods like patties without taste. If they actually made smashburgers with enough salt and pepper or some other spices to be delicious, it would be almost perfect. They also had fresh sugared mini donuts that were really good and the caramel sauce on the side was the best diving sauce in my opinion. It would also help if they fixed their air conditioning because it was extremely hot and unpleasant in the dining room."

"I was a customer of Lonnie Q's for the first time on July 3rd (took the plunge based on word of mouth). I picked up 15 lbs of pulled pork I had pre-ordered for a family party. It was packaged neatly and securely. Lon took time to be courteous and friendly, showing me the best way to warm the meat to serve to my guests. He spent time with me at the counter and encouraged me to taste test the other options of meats and sides since I'd never been there before. The turkey was wonderful!God blessed those cheesy potatoes! Earlier this week, he called and left a voicemail that he was just wanting to make sure everyone enjoyed it. I recommend this place highly! Such kindness and wonderful customer service, right along with fantastic BBQ!"

"My daughter and I were in town for a choir competition. We googled looking for vegan food. I held my breath because it's hard to find vegan food in Wichita, where we live. The Burger Stand popped up and we saw a black bean burger on their menu and went for it. I called the order in from the car because we were crunched for time. It was done in 15 minutes. This was THE BEST vegan burger I have eaten. Half way through my burger I was telling my kid that I'd drive 2.5 hours to eat this again. Quality food and I am a hard critic."

"The Kansas African American Foster Care/Adoption Coalition hosted it's first conference in Topeka. We are a volunteer organization with zero budget so our goal was to keep costs to the group as low as possible while offering a free program to the community. Of all the local businesses we contacted, Panera was the first to donate which was critically important, as a local business backed out at the last minute leaving us with no other breakfast options. So much was given that we were able to donate the rest to the homeless shelter. Whether personal or for professional purposes, Panera Bread has my business."

"Josh Clark made our experience awesome! We are visiting from out of town and went to the Olive Garden on Wannamaker in Topeka. Excellent customer service. "Usually this place is pretty decent but last night my bean cheese burrito tasted like stale grease and I got guacamole for the first time and it was literally just like pureed avocado, baby food looking. No tomatoes, onions, jalapeno chunks in it. I paid $13 for both, which I feel is overpriced. That means each item is $6.50. The bean burrito is huge, so that's probably only slightly overpriced... but $6.50 for a container of chips and guac is crazy. Will probably hesitate going back for a while."

"they had 4 vegan main course options and brown or white rice. the food tasted excellent! the sweet tasted very fresh. we arrived 30 minutes before their planned closing time and we were surprised about the options. they kept eating freshly cooked until the conclusion, even go to cook a dish of sweet biryani rice and bring it to our table. the staff was very friendly and very attentive. we would definitely return!"

"Went in with my daughter and granddaughter for a late lunch. The server got us an appetizer and drinks and then apologized that they were short-handed. The manager was cooking. We started to give him our order, and he excused himself to grab another customer's meal that had come up. When he returned, he started to take our order and then said he was sorry, but it was now 2 minutes past 3 so he would need to collect our menus and bring us dinner menus. I asked since our ticket was opened at 2:15 that we get the lunch, but he said the system was based on the clock when the items were ordered. I had something similar happen in the past, and the server either removed our drinks to lower our ticket or comped an item but that didn't happen. We were set covid aware, so there were only 2 tables in our area that were active. We got our salads, and the server brought out 2 baskets of biscuits to our neighboring table. When we asked for biscuits, he said the kitchen was way behind and it could be 15 to 20 minutes for fresh ones. We worked on our salads and before they were half gone the server arrived with our meal and biscuits. Our meals were good and tasted good. Since they were dinner-sized, we asked for to-go boxes. When the server returned he brought 2 boxes. We had 3 meals. Anyway, he was gone for about 10 minutes. When he returned he got the third to-go box and apologized that the other area in the restaurant had a server not show so he was handling them. We paid and as we have family that are servers we tipped well, but were a bit unhappy with how things went."
