"Omg I don?t know where to Start! This is far the BEST and MOST friendly BBQ place I?ve been too. My entire experience was excellent. My family and I were greeted with a friendly smile from the waitress to the cook! The smoked Mac and cheese, cabbage, greens was the best I?ve ever tasted. Don?t get me started on the sweet potato casserole! It melted in my mouth with a nice crunch on top! Everything was on point! I have no room to complain at all! Just expand this business to temple ????. But I don?t want to gain any weight back ????. We will definitely be back to visit."

"What a charming restaurant!! I ordered the Golden Calf burger as recommended by our waitress and wow!! It was delicious and I would definitely order it again. All the ingredients are sourced in Texas and you can tell how fresh everything is. The Golden Calf burger is a beef patty with caramelized balsamic onions, whipped herb goat cheese, lemon garlic aioli, and arugula on a brioche bun. I was hesitant with the goat cheese and lemon garlic aioli combo, but it all worked well together. Well balanced and super juicy. I paired it with a side of sweet potato fries which were the perfect balance of crispy on the outside and nicely cooked through inside. Service was fantastic as well. Small heads up that the parking situation is mostly street parking where you would need to parallel park. There was a small parking lot relatively close by as well. Overall, I would definitely come back!!"

"Both salads—the house salad and the Caesar—were delicious, though they were quite standard in flavor. The prime tenderloin was cooked to perfection with a pleasing peppered and salted crust, accompanied by pickled red wine reduction onions and béarnaise sauce. The lobster risotto, while perfectly prepared, had an overpowering seafood taste, and the white wine in it wasn't reduced enough. On the other hand, the lobster mac and cheese was rich and delightful. The crème brûlée was decent, but nothing exceptional. Overall, this steakhouse is definitely worth a visit if you're in Waco!"

"I am giving this restaurant four stars mainly because of the service. The food was excellent, I'll give them that. However, our waitress seemed uninterested in serving us. She was rude, paying more attention to other tables and acting as if we didn't exist. On the other hand, the older gentleman was very nice and checked on us. Thank you to him. To the waitress who was rude, you were going to receive a $25 tip, but instead, you got $8. I wish we could have tipped the older gentleman instead."

"The ambiance alone is worth the stop. Even if you just pop in to eat some of their in house made desserts at their small bar top area. The retro themed eatery with gas themed memorabilia is an eye pleaser. The meals are served in old hubcaps, just to keep you submerged in that classic ol' timeliness. Regular burger was delicious with a side car of their fried okra. Kids meals are a wow factor as they use those 3D cardboard replica boxes of cars. Ours now drives around Barbie dolls! Their hours can be a bit inconvenient if you don't plan accordingly to eat here (open 11AM-2PM). Don't let that stop you for adding them to your Waco vacation plans!"

"This was our first restaurant stop in Waco and we really enjoyed the food! Our server was fantastic in helping us choose what to order. The interior of the location seemed a little outdated, which is why I am giving it a 4-star rating instead of a 5. However, the Pepperjack Turkey sandwiches we ordered were absolutely delicious! The mac and cheese and broccoli were also very tasty, we just added some pepper to the mac and cheese. We will definitely be visiting again when we travel to Waco, and would recommend this location to others as well!"

"I know a lot of people try to politicize everything, let’s just leave it out and focus on the customer service and the food. First of all, I have tried other chicken sandwiches and they do not compare. The chicken sandwich is the best available and no one has been able to beat it yet. Every time I’m at the drive through, the process is also something the other fast food places lack. The organization and the “follow that car” and the naming is excellent. Even with two long lines, it never takes long to get the food because of the organization. They know ahead of time what cars are coming up and your order is ready by the time you arrive at the pickup window. When I need a chicken sandwich, this is the only place I go to."

"I really like the look of Common Grounds, both inside and out. It's an old residential building that has been converted into a rustic coffee house and student hangout. I felt a little weird and out of place when I entered, however. Not that the staff was not friendly. They were. But everyone in the place was under 25 except for my wife and I. We are 65 years old. That 40 year age difference can't easily be hidden! But the age thing is my issue because nobody in the place, staff or student, looked sideways at us at all. I ordered a nitro cold brew but was advised that it is not available at this time. So, I settled on a drip brew coffee with cream. I planned on enjoying my coffee with a scoop of ice cream from the shop next door, so drip coffee would serve that purpose just fine. I don't know what blend of coffee I received, but it was very flavorful and smooth. I really liked it! Plus, the temperature was perfect. I've been in some big name coffee shops mid day only to receive drip coffee that was lukewarm and unpleasant. Not here! I really like Common Grounds, both the look of the place and the product. And even though I'm an old geezer, I would not hesitate to go back again for some excellent coffee and friendly service."

"Much more than expected. The choice of dishes, the choice of drinks, the taste... it was all so incredible. Definitely take your appetite, because everything is sooo fill. If you are not in the mood for food, make sure to stop by and a pimple shot and an adult milkshake, you will not regret it. The shot gets used to something, but it's a funny turn to a normal shot."

"Large semi-new bbq joint, north of Waco. They must be good because they were from chicken and sausage. We decided to get a little brisket and brisket chili. Both were fantastic. Moist with a good outer bark. The chili had a brisket in every spoon bite. Nice people. I asked if we need something several times. Go there early so you can choose from the whole menu."

"Amazing food, homemade Greek! What else do I have to say? It's Greek food like Momma used to do it. If your mom is Greek and from the old country. The Xristo Gyro is my personal favorite. Greek seasoned white meat chicken, hummus, feta cheese and a spicy homemade pepper sauce. Fit it with a sidecar of Gravy Fries and you have made a marriage in heaven. Everything on the menu is spectacular, the desserts are divine. atmosphere is pleasant, and, temperature controlled! From the same family, the Greek food truck at the corner of Franklin and University Parks Dr. Five stars all the way!"
