"You need to know about me: Mexican restaurants are my way to 90% of the time. I started a few months after Don Lupe. During my first visit I was first met by the taste of salsa. It is lightly spicy with a good taste, texture and consistency. I just went there and only eat chips and salsa (and maybe some Guac). Oil After my first visit I started to go with a higher frequency until it became a weekly visit. Why? Because I found that almost everything had good taste. For example, if I get beef all in most Mexican restaurants, it is quite bland beef and the taste is about fillings (cheese). With Don Lupe, even beef is well seasoned and stands alone. At this point I think I had about half of everything on the menu, including Enchiladas, Chile poblanos, Burritos, Tacos, Tacosalat, Carnitas, Pazole, Tamales, many different daily specialties (including most of those with chorizo), and more. And I drank a ton of Negro Modelo on ****. Yes, on Hahn. I usually go for lunch, so just a normal frost glass. But they also have a large glass that is frosty and really big. Amber says the Sangrias are also really good. I don't drink margaritas, so I can't help you. I didn't have Tequila there, but I see a pretty good choice in the bar that I hope to come in sometime! Even if you like JALAPENOS, I recommend you the fried Jalapeno. It is a very big jalapeno deep fried (NOT debrised) and served on a plate with juicy onions. $50 and worth the fire! I despised mine and was still burned."
