"Generally motivated by the good reviews, through my dear to the Thai cuisine and through the Westerländer outskirts, we drove on a beautiful, sunny evening the previously reserved SIAM. The location outside the tourist mile is always important to me not too much to fall into the holiday snacks of so many restaurants. And so the SIAM is far from the shot near the Sylter Aquarium. Parking is available in front of the house and in the nearby parking lot of the aquarium. From the outside, you can immerse yourself in a cosy, thaland-style restaurant. Although we had reserved a table, whether the early hour we could choose a place outside on the terrace or in the restaurant. We chose a small, bambuseing niche with a table. So we were among ourselves, but had a good overview of the events in the restaurant. Step by step, the restaurant became full, and a telephone order chased the other. The kitchen had a lot to do. Reserves seem to be appropriate here, given popularity. Operation Already at the entrance we were greeted nicely by the host and still had free table choice. In the evening we were served by a Thai service in costume friendly, nice and precise, always changing a few words. Everything seems very playful but not intruded and the cordiality of the inn was great to our little son. On the way to the outside we were then kindly passed by the host Roberto and with a chat. Even if I rarely forgive an outstanding, it must be here again. It's like I wish. Kindness from the beginning to the end paired with nice presence of the host. My son would say at this point, see, go! Food The map offers everything around the Thai classics. For the Junior we ordered fried noodles with egg and chicken for 7,20€, for the Mama Massaman Gai for 14,50€ and for Papa Gäng Keow Wan with chicken at 13,80€. Sylter Selter 0,75l at 5,50€, mango juice o,25l at 2,80€ and 0.4l Veltins at 3,70€. As an appetizer still the classic, Sate Spieße with peanut sauce for 7,50€. So pricey ok, although the curry prices are filled higher than normal . Westerland just, increased price level where you look. The 4 Sate spits were quite large and equipped with well marinated chicken. There was a small cucumber salad and some cabbage. In a small bowl then the highlight, the homemade peanut sauce. Very tasty and recommended. No pampe but not too small groundnuts. The children's portion of noodles with egg and chicken was plentiful and so my son fought bravely. Tastefully for me not the very big throw but OK. The Massaman Gai, i.e. chicken in coconut milk with potatoes, peanuts and chili and mostly Massaman seasoning paste was also very abundant. Together with the rice for my better half don't make it that way. Nevertheless, a fine, well tasted Thai dish. My Gäng Keow Wan, so my green coconut milk curry with chicken green vegetables, bamboo and chili also came to the table in a considerable size. I had high expectations of the court, so I have eaten this dish everywhere in the world and in particular in Thailand. Only very rarely do the currys remember Thailand. I'm sorry, too. The sharpness was too low, which is certainly owed to German guests, the curry was rather pampy and very sweet. Taste not as it should be. Too bad, not quite my expectation, but Meckern was not yet appropriate. A dessert did not go anymore due to the large portions, but Cappuchino was still 2.60€. Very pleasing the low price, because in Westerland there is hardly less than 3€. Even more enjoyable but the great quality. Often you order a cappuchino in the restaurant for it and often it is not worthy of it. Be it because the milk is not well foamed or because what is used as espresso is of poor/ weak quality. Not like this Thai country. In addition to the tresen there is a huge Italian coffee machine as she somanch Barisa wishes. Ambiente The elongate restaurant with a slightly overloaded vase at the EIngang, is rearwardly decorated very thaland/ asian, a lot of bamboo, figures, pictures etc radiate cosiness. Especially our separate seating corner is pleasant. In the outdoor area there is a small veranda with some tables and parasols. Cleanliness Everything in everything is good. Clean and well maintained. The dishes and glasses in good condition. Nothing that seemed negative. FAZIT: Friendly staff, good procedures, an ingenious Cappccino and good food let me consider the restaurant as a recommendation. Although the weakness in a green curry reads a little disappointment. Overall, however, everything and a return does not fit out. So a recommendation on my part."
