"This place has AMAZING FOOD AND AWESOME CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! The employees are always so friendly and cheerful. The reason for the 1 star is because of the way that the employees are treated. In the winter there is no heat and they have to cook with winter jackets on to keep warm. A small space heater is not an adequate source of heat when the front door is opening and closing because this place have so much volume and is always packed. Now that it is summer there isn't any air conditioning for them. They are given a fan now so now it is a convection bake oven in there for the employees. It is unhealthy and unsafe. The front door propped open is there only opportunity for air flow. The workers come to work everyday seems like they never call out they are always working so hard and hustling. Maybe the tip money that the owner takes from them could pay for the electric bill if he ever decides to get the HVAC system fixed. Just saying..."

"I used to love this place!! I just bought a Mexican Caesar and even added extra toppings. It was not good!! It was bland and the lettuce was not the best! I know when the menu changed a while back, I wasn't happy with my salad then.... Oh, and the bread was stale!! It's a bummer when restaurants start using cheaper quality food??? Won't be back."

"My husband and I visited for the first time about 2 weeks ago. We live out of town and are planning another trip just to come back. We had the chili cheese fries, I ordered the trash burger, add pickles. Was phenomenal. Had to eat with a knife and fork. Beetroot ketchup is a delightful surprise. He had the gyro (had previously seen a Reuben on the menu and was planning for that, but we missed it, hope they bring it back). He loved the gyro and pasta salad. We only have one (very new) all vegan restaurant where we live so we enjoy exploring other cities and their options. This is a new favorite. Will be back very soon!"

"maya mexican restaurant in the city of wilmington is a nice little place to have authentic Mexican cuisine. we were immediately tall and it was all in Spanish (what my wife, fortunately, speaks fluent, I still learn) and sat immediately. the chips and salsa hit and the heat was exactly right in salsa. my wife and I have both tortas, I have the carnita torta and she got the carne asada torta. the carnita was cooked quite differently than on the east coast, fried and dried, but still very good. 5/5 would be recommended for authentic Mexican foods."

"Very disorganized staff. Stood at front for about 5 minutes before anyone was acknowledged (myself and probably 5 others). Two employees had to decide who was going to be our host(ess). When they figured it out, the host took me to my table and said I 've got the breakfast menu here for you. Is that okay? Umm? it 's like 1pm, dude. No, it 's not okay. An older guy likes to just come out of the kitchen and stand, staring at customers like a stalker (not like a typical manager would do). One woman asked another if she wanted help and the second woman said I 'M BUSY! , but refused help. Salad was swimming in dressing. Lunch entree (pastichio) wasn 't bad. A little different than what I 'm used to, but that 's why I ordered it. The set of silverware across the table from me had not been washed properly. Still had something on them. The flap on the sugar jar thing for coffee doesn 't close, so at night, their bugs (I 'd be willing to bet they have bugs) probably have a blast in there. Biggest problem was the bread that the server brought me. Underneath the bread, inside the coffee filter with the bread, was someone else 's balled up straw wrappers! Like I started to butter my bread and saw it and thought to myself I don 't remember putting my straw wrapper in there. Nope, mine was still on the table. If it wasn 't for someone else 's dirty dish being used for my food, I 'd probably give this place 3 stars."

"Food is excellent. Fish are fresh. Portions are generous. The BBQ squid is a must try. The only negative point I have is their ordering process. Instead of having a paper with all the items listed so we can check off and write how many we want, the waitress stood there and write down what we want very prone to human error. But that's not going to stop me from going back though. First all you can eat sushi restaurant of this caliber in DE, let's keep it open.2023 07 02 Update: Overall, we still enjoyed our dinner but we were disappointed on a couple things 1) although understandably, they put a limit, still a generous limit, on the number of pieces of sashimi you can order before they start charing a .50 per piece fee. 2) the quality of fish was not good at all. They were subpar. The scallops had no taste, tasted like frozen. I hope it's just this one time and not a change of their business model. We'll probably go back but if fish quality is still bad, then probably not."

"The food was good to ok in quality and taste, but the atmosphere really took away from the dining experience. We sat down to eat, and saw there were paper plates and red solo cups set at the tables, with plastic forks and spoons. My chicken biriyani had a huge pile of rice, but only 2 chicken wing drumsticks and some small chunks that were half bone. The lamb vindaloo and palak paneer were good, as was the naan bread. All that said, the peeling paint, soggy paper plates, dirty and falling apart menus, and general air of neglect took away from the dining experience and made me wonder about the condition and care taken in the kitchen. I have previously eaten here a number of years ago, and the food was phenomenal, but I don't think they have kept up that same standard. Wait staff was friendly and timely."

"I gave them two stars because my food was fine, but they need to better manage their lunch. Why is there only 1 person in the register at noon? And why did it take 15 minutes for me to get a roasted bagel and a smoothie? And the staff in the register is like you? simply disturb them by standing before them and placing an order. "Had an outstanding time this morning at As Good As It Gets Cafe in Wilmington for a New Year's Day breakfast with my mother. We arrived at 9:00 a.m., and we did beat the crowds. Lisa was our server and performed all her duties like a seasoned professional. Moreover, she was friendly and took the photographs attached to this review. In addition, the steak/crab cakes eggs benedict along with my mother meal was delicious. The place was clean and plenty of parking! We even ordered muffins after our meal. Recommend to all! "I have had both take out and in person dinning here. I'll start with the dine in experience. Not much atmosphere, but neat and clean. I had the SpaghettiWith sausage. The meal was ok not one of the best red sauces in the area though I have had better. I also had the Antipasto Salad it was very good. The portions for both the salad and Spaghetti were huge way to much for me to eat in one seating. We decided to try their pizza for take out one night and we were not pleased. We ordered a cheese pizza with sausage, mushrooms, green peppers and black olives. The pizza was covered with the topping so much so that I could not taste the sauce or the cheese. The green peppers were not cooked through. I don't know if it was because of all the topping but the crust was soggy. This is one of the worst pizza experiences I have had in this area. Also we ordered the Antipasto Salad again and ask for it chopped, which cost an additional $2.00 and it was not chopped.I would suggest you try dinning in, however parking may be difficult on a busy night."

"Great atmosphere and true Homestyle Restraunt feel. When you first step theru the door you feel at home. The hospitality is grade A and the service was awesome as well. Prices were as expected not bad at all. The specials should be a little cheaper considering they are specials however the prices were great. The food was great also I can say the special stew beef and rice was a bit bland and could 've use some kind of zing. Tasted ok and I was satisfied with the food. Would recommend stopping by for a Southern Treat :"
