"We have been to Mister Cook four times while we were in Istanbul. We have tried many other restaurants but in the end, Mister Cook always had the best food. From outside the restaurant is quiet and not very flashy. However the food is excellent. We had sea bass, meat, kebab, some lamb dishes with mashed Aubergine (awesome)…. Everything was perfect. Waiters are also very kind and Mister Cook is generous. While the restaurant is pricy, you will often receive free items for dinner. There is also a cute cat called Minoche. Overall, it’s our favourite restaurant in Istanbul. Our fav dishes: -Lamb with smashed aubergine (awesome) -Tasty Kebab (it comes in a clay pot in a fire. You need to break the clay pot with knives to eat the meat) -Lamb chops (excellentl) -Seabass (excellent) -Ottoman kebab (a mixed kebab for two persons. Very filling) -Meze: best presented Meze near Hagia Sophia"

"The owner's wife almost kicked us out because we asked for a discount. They are more cheerful when they see rich customers. The prices are extremely high, the taste is quite low compared to previous years, it has turned into a factory. The decrease in the number of customers is obvious from the decrease in the number of tables. Hidayet'in Yeri, Mila, Lipsos and Giritimu are the best fish restaurants in Selimiye."

"Nice place to visit. The food was ok and the shisha also. The prices are above average and the major annoying thing was that people waiting for your last bite so they can take the dishes away. The moment you put your cutlery on your plate, they come and pick it up. I don't like to be rushed while I didn't finish my food. Also I ordered Döner with rice and salad as on the menu, but i got bulgur instead of rice and when I asked they said we don't have rice today."

"What a great dining experience! Found this restaurant randomly through a search and saw a lot of reviews recommending their beef clay pot, so I obviously had to go get their beef clay pot and try for myself. Wow! Was that’s ever a treat. They literally cook it in a sealed clay pot and bring it out over the fire and crack it open right in front of you! Super cool and also so DELICIOUS! Comes with a bowl of rice, olives and bread. I asked for extra rice and they gave it to me for free. They also gave me a complimentary dessert and tea (other guests in the resto got one too while I was there). Great service from the whole restaurant. Would definitely recommend going and getting the beef clay pot! Thanks!"

"When I read through the reviews, I wasn't sure if this was a fully vegetarian and vegan restaurant! It is and so tasty. I got the zucchini pie, and I thought it was so tasty (I always have a hankering for salt so I put some of the herb butter from the bread) SO GOOD. I even liked the side salad. My bf got the potato pie and it was also very good (especially with yogurt) And like others are saying the lemonade is actually homemade tasting and delicious! I definitely want to visit again."

"I was excited to come here. But after asking the waited what was without dariy and what was not, he seemed very confident. But when i got my food i think it was kofta or korma it seemed to ahve paneer in the balls. Even though i did ask the waiter. He stated it was rice... it wasnt rice... So, i guess if you order something simple that you know would be vegan dahl or something then its safe. Very expensive for a meal by my standards and the flavours seem to be toned done, not very spicy or tasty."
