"Local Lakeview Hidden Gem! I was recently on a scenic tour around twin lakes in Halifax, when I noticed the beautiful lakeview establishment 550 Tavern and Event Venue. It happened to be a rainy day outside, but inside we were greeted with a very warmwelcoming local staff. The hostess, grade A+ for her genuine hospitality. The wait staff were prompt attentive knew the menu andmade wonderful suggestions. Was first time there. Kinda scopin it out. I drive by there every day for work. The place to sit is out on the deck. Cool spot. Foods good enough for me to plan on a return. Plus we got a good waitress.

Food is so tasty and waitresses help and guidance is polite. The view from the terrace is lovely. I?d say the only thing I didn?t like much was the music was a bit too loud that?s why we chose to sit in the terrace area. But still the playlist is wellcurated.

Love this place! We like to sit at the bar and enjoy drinks and a meal. Even during busy times the bartenders are awesome and attentive. Servers are wonderful too. Food is always delicious! I recommend the pickle fries. I've gotten to know the owner,Amanda, as we had our wedding at the Lakeside Villa attached to the restaurant and she is amazing.
