"We got Allen Son BBQ catered for our rehearsal dinner and absolutely enjoyed every part of it. The pulled pork was juicy and flavorful and the flounder was great. We got Mac and cheese (fantastic), fried okra, Cole slaw, and hush puppies for sides and all of them were tasty. The banana pudding was amazing and did not last long probably because everyone got a few plates. Definitely recommend for any local catering as you cannot find a better example of NC bbq near by!"

A No Frills, side of the road barbecue place. The staff is nice, the food is good, the styrofoam trays are Styrofoam.

First time here. The parking lot was packed. I used the walk up window and was greeted immediately. I ordered the BBQ plate with collards and okra. Everything was delicious! I'll be back to enjoy the dine-in portion.

If you are looking for good bbq then this is your place. Allen and Sons is our go to for good NC vinegar bbq. The Mac and cheese is also not to be missed. Nothing fancy, just good food, good people and good times. There is a reason it is considered one of the best in the south.
