"Cheese enchiladas and Red! Some of the most tender and tasty pork chunks that cut with a fork on top of a 2 cheese enchiladas. The cheese was cranky and stayed fluid throughout the meal. The shredded lettuce added a cool crunch to the bites of the warm combination. The chips and salsa here are different. The chips are a thicker version of the tortillas chips usually served in Mexican restaurants. The salsa was not spicy and tasted freshly made with a plentiful tomato presence."

4/26/23 You must order the cheese meat dip with the homemade chips... SO DELICIOUS. The chicken fajitas quesadilla and tacos were fantastic as well. Friendly waitress, wonderful service. Clean, comfortable restaurant. Large servings.

The food I would say has a particular pallet. Either you don't like it, or you do. In this case I ordered the pork burrito with cheese on top and it was delicious! I have gotten take out before but it just doesn't have the same taste as if you were to dine in. Lunch or dinner, both are totally worth going to Barbosas.

Perfect! I could not ask for a better dining experience! Our waiter was fantastic and had been working there since they were at the downtown location. Such a happy pleasant guy. The food was great and the hot salsa just the perfect amount of spice to make you sweat but not burn your mouth. I'm not always a fan of fried tacos but they do them to perfection. Definitely recommend!

"We met another couple here for a Valentines Day lunch. The hostess was very nice, advising us about street vs garage parking. We were parked in a 2 hour zone which she said would be ticketed if over the allotted time. The other couple arrived and we put in our drink and appetizer orders. The table shared a plate of deep fried crocodile bites (see photo). They were $9 and just okay, not flavorful or unique. They were searched with a little dish of what appeared to be thin ranch dressing which added a bit of flavor. I believe I had to ask for the drink menu and was surprised that it was limited and no prices were published. I supposed my surprise was because they had such a long and beautiful antique bar along one wall. They have an extended drink menu online, this one appeared to be more of a smaller Happy Hour menu. Everyone was happy with their drinks and the wine pour was generous. Maybe 7 or 8 ounces. We put our entrée orders in and they arrived in a reasonable time considering the place had gotten much busier. My blackened Snapper was perfect. My side was not what I expected, it was kind of a thin potato chowder dish but tasted fine. I was expecting some kind of potato casserole but evidently did not ask enough questions. Everyone seemed fine with what they had ordered. We had driven up from KC and planned on lingering a while over dessert. The waitress didn’t offer us any before presenting the check, which I thought was odd. We are obviously of retirement age, unlike other diners who appeared to be heading back to work after lunch. And it was Valentines Day… Anyway, I inquired about chicory coffee but it was not an offered menu item and asked for the dessert menu. She showed us the menu, I got coffee and the table shared a slice of bourbon pecan pie. The food was reasonably priced, and appropriate portions for the time of day. We probably won’t make the trip again, but might stop there if on our way to Omaha or points north."
