We were walking in Downtown last week and decided to give it a try. I?m so glad we did because it was fantastic!! I had the turkey and havarti on gluten free bread, and it was the best sandwich I?ve ever eaten! The turkey was great and paired well with the Havarti. The greens on the sandwich were fresh and are tossed in their house made vinaigrette. They put sprouts on it and I love sprouts. Incredible sandwiches, especially the Italian. My only complaint is their hours, I wish they were open longer so I could eat there during the week more often. Still, with how good the sandwiches are, I make it work.

The egg salad sandwich I enjoyed yesterday was the best egg salad I've had in decades. Lots of tasty egg salad on the sandwich so it's not something you want to try to eat while driving. The folks at The Painted Porch bookstore recommended Base Camp Deli as a good place for lunch and they were absolutely right. Thank you!

They?ve done it again. I love this sandwich shop and already reviewed once. But then they created another amazing masterpiece, the Cubano. I sit here eating it feeling obligated to say how good it is. It?s so unique. The flavors are extraordinary and powerful. I normally want to substitute items on or off my sandwiches from most places but this place nails it every time. I just eat whatever they give me, like homemade pickles?! I?m not even sure these are pickles?they taste like Christmas in my mouth. Best sandwich shop in the Central Texas area.
