"Stopped in on Labor Day 2024 and ended up walking in right as they were closing down for the day. They offered to turn the grills and such back on, since it was Labor Day we probably wouldn't be able to find much else. We graciously stayed, talk about hospitality!! The waitress didn't seem super confident, but she was very friendly and nice! Our orders were only slightly mixed up, but we didn't say anything because it really wasn't a huge deal! Everyone ate every morsel of food--it was delicious!! The proprietor came over and chatted with us for a bit, she was incredibly friendly and hilarious!! Stopped in on Labor Day and walked in just as they were closing. They graciously offered to turn the grills back on, saying we'd have a hard time finding food open on Labor Day. Every staff member was incredibly friendly and we ended up staying and chatting for nearly 2 hours after they closed!! Highly recommend if you're looking for good food and quick friends!

My visit to Ben's Place was extremely disappointing. The service was poor, with waitstaff lacking communication both with each other and with customers. I asked a question about a menu item and was told it would come on a tortilla. Our waitress had to ask the other waitress who was also cooking about this menu item, but through both of them we received the wrong answer. The menu item came out on bread, without a side, and was cold. I am confused how the waitress who was cooking messed that up.
