"This place is in the middle of the Staetz piste. Huge self-service with good value meals, including a salad buffet. Plus the usual spaghetti, Bratwurst, fries, the local mac and cheese (Alpler Macaroni) and Spag Bol. Served part is also good with a wide menu. Best to reserve on weekends and during holiday period, especially if more than 2 of you. In Feb and Mar there is a Sunday brunch that you can combine with the Early Bird skiing."

Our order was taken but we waited more than 30 minutes for soup and fries. Just too much!!!

Early morning brunch after skiing. Super great buffet, nice and attentive staff. Gladly again!!

This is the ideal place for the downhill skier to go and warm up from the cold winter climate and have a hearty meal. They have a self-serving area as well as an area where the staff will serve you. It is nice to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine and view to the mountains.

"Gaumengraus. Ich bestellte das Tartar für 34 Franken, also erwartete ich natürlich ein frisch zubereitetes Tartar, jedoch wurde mir eine geschmacklose, eiskalte und braune Masse hingestellt, die mit einem braunem Gelée abgedeckt war. Als mich der Kellner fragte, ob es gut sei, teilte ich ihm meine Unzufriedenheit mit und zeigte ihm die braune Masse. Er meinte, er würde es der Küche weiterleiten. Ich habe das Tartar so stehengelassen und nach ca. 10 Minuten, als meine Frau auch schon mit dem Salat fertig war, welcher übrigens ebenfalls nichts Besonderes war, fragte er mich, ob ich etwas Tabasco wolle. Als ich dies nicht wollte, räumte er den Teller ab. Das war die einzige Reaktion. Das Tartar musste ich Vollumfänglich bezahlen. Das Hotelpersonal an sich war sehr freundlich, die Unterkunft ist sehr schön gelegen und die Zimmer sind sauber und einfach. Leider hatte es auf dem Fernseher nicht einmal eine Radiofunktion."

"Long standing local place, with indoor and lots of outdoor seating. Latter well positioned for catching sun from about 10:30 in the winter. Simple menu with standard mountain, ski place menu. Pretty cheap and very generous portions. Ribs and fries is good. Popular with families, young skiers and groups. Good enough food; fuels you for rest of the day Service a bit varied; delivery is a bit of a random walk"

"The scenery is stunning especially in the winters when the sun is out. In winters, sun is hidden behind the hill by 2:30 PM, so plan early. Sun bathe on the wooden loungers, take a cold beer or hot glühwein and simply admire the stunning surroundings. Their pommes frites are finger licking good. They do a special mix of herbs spices. The hanging teddy bears are a load of cuteness! Kids, especially daughters, love it! The snow is ample, you could ski or simply have fun in the snow!"

"Worst service ever in switzerland. The waitress was rude and the times just to get a coffee were incredible , 30 minutes for a coffee. They were running out of all the main courses but they never told us so we wait 30 mins for a table just to know there was no more food available. I will never return and it is a shame since the owner seemed to be nice but the waitress was the worst ever."

"Nice small restaurant. Friendly staff, great coffee . They sell Schnitzelbrot which is more of a flat burger from pork with BBQ sauce. Very tasty just don 't expect the standard small Wiener Schnitzel type of sandwich. Nice winter decorations and fleece blankets to sit on."
