"Blowfish is a trendy restaurant at Santana Row, and that’s what you’re paying for. I’ve been here 4 times, and 3 times the fish has been awful. The 4th time it was edible, but still not great. It’s definitely a hipster restaurant, and though the anime playing on the lcd tvs on the walls is kind of cool, I can’t stand how loud they blast their music — you literally have to yell at your dining partner. It’s louder than at a club, and when I’m eating my dinner, sometimes I like to talk to the person I’m eating with. Why have I gone here 4 times if I hate it so much? The location is just so darn convenient for me and I keep forgetting how bad the food is… but we actually had to send a dish back...

Trendy and over priced. This is a type of fusion sushi place where you go to see and been seen. Their sushi falls apart the minute it touches any soy sauce.

I can’t remember the items that I’ve eaten here, but everything that I’ve tried here has been very good. The only problem is that it’s pretty expensive. I guess it’s typically priced for a restaurant in Santana Row. But regardless, I’ve never been disappointed. The ambience is nice, the food is great, music is decent, and is a cool-type-place to hang out.

Super trendy, super expensive, super not worth it. Ok, maybe once just to check it out but I don’t really know anyone who hasn’t had a complaint about this place. Price is high, portions are small, and the taste is only decent. They often times have nice preparations for the dishes, but it’s only good for show. That is, if you can see your dish. The lighting in here is super dim. You can hardly read the menu and maybe you can use the candles to see what you’re actually eating.
