Maybe it was because of my color, not saying that she was rude, just not as if she was happy. but all the food was good and the lady who took our money was great. she had red haare and tattoos. very nice chat with us and how they do it. I'm coming back. most of my freends live there in weatherford. I am a member of the golf course canyon west. they know the owner very well."

"Very passable cajun. I love good Cajun food but the two most popular 'big chain ' Cajun restaurants have always been a disappointment. So when I heard about this local eatery in Hudson Oaks I was hopeful that it would be different. I was not disappointed. For appetizers we started with fried pickles (very good) and seafood gumbo. I 'm somewhat of a gumbo aficionado and can honestly say it was about as good as you would expect to find anywhere in N 'Awlins. Next came the meal, and WOW! We ordered a half order of the seafood platter (catfish, oysters, crawfish, gator, shrimp, and fries) and could not believe the portions. My wife and I shared the platter and still had more than enough to take home in a doggy bag. The food was standard fried fare and decent for the money. Much better than you get at the big chains. The batter was not great but still very passable. My only complaint was that the pieces (crawfish, gator, etc) were so small it was sometimes difficult to tell what you were eating."

Compared to the one on Main Street in Weatherford it is obvious these have different ownership. "The restaurant is on the lake so on a sunny day it must be idyllic. We went on a cold rainy day and sat outside. Two huge tvs one inside one outside so must be the local place to watch games. Tables for large groups as well as four tops. The staff were very welcoming and attentive. Standard tavern fare but with a few twists. The burger was very good definitely recommend. The chicken fried steak was so so not tender enough. We also had a chicken flautas starter not bad but maybe try another item. There was no rush so we could take our time."
