"Place was overpriced for what it is, and the food wasn't great. Presentation is great, but flavor and execution wasn't great. Several friends got the fried chicken this place is known for, but many of them didn't finish it because they didn't enjoy it. I got the catch of the day, and it was basically eating sauce with a side of fish. I could barely taste the seafood with all the sauces drenching the dish. The tuna tartare I got was all right, but not worth the price, and same with the watermelon drink (I barely tasted any watermelon)."

Food is overpriced, presentation is good, service is friendly. The fried chicken would be great if it wasn't drenched in chipotle mayo-like sauce. I recommend no sauce, maybe some sea salt and rosemary sprinkled on top. Collard greens and mac and cheese were tasty sides.

The prime rib was wonderful. I couldn?t stop eating the mashed potatoes! The anchovies on the Caesar salad made the dish even better, plus the plating was picture worthy. The mud pie was great and I highly recommend the panna cotta. My friend is coming back just for that!

Friendly and knowledgeable staff, convenient location, and truely delightful dishes. We enjoyed the rigatoni pasta, shrimp louis salad, and a delicious mud pie for dessert. This was our first visit and we're looking forward to returning to try some of the dinners. Highly recommended. Update 7/1/2022. We've returned with friends this time. We enjoyed dinner on the patio. The service was impressive and the dinners delicious. We're already planning our next visit.

"Gravenstein Grill is always a luxurious pleasure. My family and I had Easter brunch there and it was great. We sat on the terrace, which had a beautiful ambience with a live guitar player and beautiful scenery. The food was delicious, but my only complaint would be for her fried eggs. I love casual eggs, but not everyone does, so I could guess to order eggs accordingly for your own taste. But the food and the drinks were great. And of course the service was spectacular. Our waiter was very personal and happy, which made the experience much more pleasant. This was my third time at Gravenstein Grill and I was not even disappointed."

"I waited outside at the picnic bench in a parking lot, which normally wouldn't seem pleasant, but it felt like an alcove. It was just breezy enough with great sun/shade ratio. I didn't have one to wait until my bf came out and proceeded to detail his uplifting conversation with a couple headed out. He was barely finishing his tale about the lady tasting her shake and loving it, as the diner employee appeared with 2 shakes in her hand. She didn't use an intercom, or yell and leave them sitting until we picked them up. She walked across the parking lot to deliver the shakes and let us know our lunch would be ready soon. True to her word, barely settled after tasting the delicious shakes, she appeared again with our food, offering up any additions, wishing us a great day, thanking us for our business. The parking lot was packed, full, but we were tucked and unaffected. Lunch was delicious, bacon cheeseburgers, fries, onion rings, vanilla chocolate shakes and ranch and blue cheese dipping cups. I didn't ask how much it was, so I don't know about cost.. Great service, great food!"

"I don't understand why this restaurant has a 4.5 rating. The sushi was disappointing. The spicy tuna roll tasted like it was seasoned with a taco spice mix from the grocery store. It was overpoweringly spicy with no flavor of the tuna. The other rolls were just okay, and the fish on the Rainbow Roll did not look fresh. I don't plan on returning. The service was decent, but the overall dining experience for dinner was lacking. Food quality was a 2 out of 5, service was a 4, and the atmosphere was a 4."
