We ate lunch at Brown Loe one noontime on our Kansas City tour before we visited the Steamboat Museum. We had a pleasant lunch at this longtime KC eatery.

Cool atmosphere but the food was not good. I had the fried chicken. There were probably 3 bites of chicken and the rest was breading. The waitress probably should have noticed that I didn't touch my food (the breading). I really wanted this place to be good.

Why on earth do the chicken and waffles come on a bed of kale? Even a side waffle (actually 3/4 a waffle for some reason) has kale under it. Who thought anyone wants that? Also the white sauce on the chicken and waffles tastes like mayonnaise and is gross. Easily the worst chicken and waffles I've ever had. If you are getting breakfast just get the classic breakfast, everything else had odd choices.
