"the service was fabulous from beginning to end. we were greeted with a smile, we started with a beautiful shiraz from beechworth simao co and free brot and fresh butter. we ordered the carrot meat in her mouth-melting carrot meat, with carrots in carrot fat with rosmarin and sea salt and Parmesan plum for pornstars. the sweets were apple crumbs with vanilla bean ice cream. rockpool also offered a small bonus cake with a candle for my birthday. overall an excellent experience and highly recommended."

"limited options available for a larger group with only a few banquets, not the typical “feed me” options offered at other Asian restaraunts. substitutes were given for pregnant guests, but were not asked what they wanted, so we two others who did not eat them and had to order alternatives and then pay extra. quite average meal times for the price."

"The burgers here are big and filling, but also on the pricey side. If you have a big appetite, it's probably worth it. They serve indulgent burgers similar to what you would find at American style restaurants, with multiple patties and rich toppings. I ordered a burger with a fried chicken patty and beef patty, along with lettuce, tomato, cheese, bacon, and sauce for $17. We also tried their basic $12 burger, which surprisingly didn't come with lettuce or tomato, so we had to add lettuce for an extra $1. We also ordered Poutine chips with gravy, cheese, and bacon for $13. My beef and chicken burger was satisfying, and along with the chips, I didn't need to eat dinner later. The bun was soft and moist, which was a huge plus. The cheese was perfectly melted, the chicken was not dry like at some places, and the beef patty actually tasted like good quality meat on its own. Overall, I was pretty pleased. It was a bit pricey, but with the voucher, it was fine. The only thing I would prefer less of is the BBQ sauce on the bacon. The bacon (both on the burger and on the loaded chips) was cut into small pieces and covered in BBQ and other sweet sauces, which was a bit overpowering, but that's the American-style burger vibe. The chips were average crinkle cut chips with paprika seasoning, similar to what you would find at other places. They weren't very crispy, even when fresh, but with the toppings, they were decent and generous."

"I was visiting from Sydney and read the reviews before going to Eau de vie. I was not disappointed! Axle provided excellent service and the drinks were fantastic. We were seated in a lovely booth as well. I will definitely return when I come back to Melbourne. Also, don't forget to try their bread - it's delicious."

"Where should I start? The main problem you have is the selection of your meal from the variety of innovative menus. With a smile that brightens up your day, Raisa was an amazingly friendly and attentive host who listened attentively to our preferences and made recommendations that exceeded our expectations. All dishes were big portions. Traditional Pho was delicious without being too salty. We fought over the rice paper rolls. The saigon baos were absolutely delicious. Frequently check to ensure that we enjoy our meals, Raisa always spent time meeting your needs and getting to know you. That was real service. After we discovered this place, we returned several times. The best of all, the standard of food and service remained excellent. You will find a regular patron!"
