"I've written a couple of reviews about Charcoal Guido's and here's yet another but it is sort of a double review I was up in Waltham visiting my son for his birthday week and we went to CG for a dinner. As expected, the beer and cider were cold and delish. The pizza (one pepperoni and one grilled sweet sausage were great (I'm a born and bred New Yorker and I am very critical with respect to pizza . I'm sure there are other good pizza places in Waltham but I like Charcoal Guidos plus it is just up the street from where my son lives. Desert was cannolis which were also good. The other great thing about eating here is the service Gaby (Gabi ? was our server. Personable and friendly and just da...

The food was good and the drinks very strong but overpriced in general. You get the same or better quality and tasting food at most chain restaurants.

Excelente customer service. We were acknowledged quickly and attended to in a timely fashion. Sat outside and place was clean. We had brick oven pizza which was amazing!!! Kids were so satisfied

Horrible service. Very very rude. Not even worth one star. My family and I would not go back again.Found a hair in the food and told the waiter. He removed the food but said nothing. A few minutes later, a female staff approached our table. No apology. Then she started to say things like “I don’t know where the hair could come from. It’s ALL MEN in the kitchen. I am the ONLY girl here.” First of all, you are not. I see other female staff. Second, even if I believe it’s all men in the kitchen, it is NOT my hair. NOT my fault. Her attitude and body language were rude beyond words. Directly suggesting “oh it’s your own freaking hair, not our problem.” I admit the hair color looked similar to mi...

"I have dined here about a half dozen times. The food is great. The service is not. I was surprised to hear that anyone had good service here because I consistently have had slow, inattentive or down right rude service here. We go back because it's convenient and we work very close by, but our last experience we stood for more than 8 minutes waiting to be acknowledged, the server who finally came over was downright rude. We saw her drop things from someone's table and kick those things across the room. We finally got seated and waited another 15 minutes for someone to come to the table. Their patio had people out there but there was no one inside but it looked like they had only 2 servers working. Our sandwiches did not come with any pasta salad or anything on the side like they used to and our table was missing the two non-alcoholic beverages that were ordered until half way through the meal. My advice is to try Brelundi, perhaps you will have a different experience than we have had. If you like Italian food, the food is worth the wait. The bread is delicious, the pasta and sandwiches and salads are great. Just be aware that your service may be extremely slow, they will forget items and may be rude to you. Also, any time we have gone (at lunch time) I was berated and not seated for not having a reservation so I now make sure I call and make reservations before attempting to go there or we get take out."

"Osterio is a certainly fine dining but overall we were disappointed for a number of reasons. For each course, one of us was disappointed in what was served. I started with the Caprese salad , but instead of using succulent heirloom tomatoes, the dish used Tiny cherry tomatoes buried in a huge bed of greens, and the supposedly homemade mozzarella looked and tasted more like shaved Parmesan. The dressing was overly sweet, heavy and did not resemble balsamic vinegarette. Nor did the dish resemble any kind of Caprese salad that I ever had been served. It shouldn’t be called a Caprese salad in my opinion. My wife however enjoyed the Harvest salad. The bread seemed not to be fresh, and was on the stale side. For entrees, my wife got the Haddock with roasted mushrooms and potato purée special, which I must say was off the charts delicious. But I was disappointed in the Tuscan seafood stew. It contained shrimp, nicely done, but the rest of the dish consistent of rubbery, tiny calamari, tiny, tiny mussels in the shell, and a tiny piece of white fish, all buried in a spicy sauce with three or four large ciabatta on the top. Visually it was more appetizing than the actual experience of eating the dish. The service was just so so. We had to ask for bread, and it took and overly long time before we were able to place our order. However, someone did come over to take our drink order right after we were seated which was nice. On the plus side, my wife’s drink was superb. She got the Hayride, and it cleverly had a thin apple slice affixed to the lip of the glass with a close pin. Pretty cool. Bottom line for us: This restaurant is not cheap, and we expected a better dining experience for the price. We might return because of the Haddock dish, but otherwise not sure"
