"There were some great dishes but overall I was disappointed by our meal. The service was not very good we had to wait about 15 minutes to order even asking multiple times. They also forgot about our second drink order. Some of the food was tasty but some was not good the fried prawns were overcooked, the Szechuan potatoes were too acidic, the fish soup was too salty, and even the rice was too overcooked. The hotpot and tofu dishes we got were great though. Also, the allergen information on the menu was not correct. For example, dishes on the menu that said they had soy sauce in them would not have gluten and soy listed as an allergen. As someone with allergies, this was quite disappointing...

Flavors are consistent at this place and service is good. They’re actually happy to serve you. Their meat, regardless of the dish, are always tender. Their sweet potato dessert is a must

Die Scala ist mit 5* eigentlich viel zu klein. Wir haben über 3 Jahre in Peking gelebt, gearbeitet und gegessen und nun in der Nachbarschaft eines der besten, wenn nicht das beste Nordchinesische Restaurant Deutschlands gefunden (was auch der FEINSCHMECKER seit 2014 behauptet). Authentisch heißt hier auch: laut, hell und nicht direkt einladend. Unser Tip: die Tofublätter (Nr 21) und das scharfe gebratene Hänchen (Nr 72). Eifach eine echte Perle!!

Ich bin zwiegespalten. Interieur Design: null Punkte. Der Charme einer ukrainischen Bahnhofshalle. Service: unterirdisch. Das Essen - wenn es denn mal kommt, egal, wie viele Leute am Tisch sitzen: es kommt irgendwann. Und es ist großartig. Kulinarisch sechs Punkte von fünf. Aber alles andere war so unfassbar schlecht... Spontan hätte ich gesagt, so gut war das Essen nicht, dass es diese Katastrophe von Service aufgewogen hätte. Aber nach drei Monaten überwiegt mittlerweile die Erinnerung an das Essen.
