"The food was delicious and service top-notch! Our waiter was was so genuine and incredibly friendly even though it was just before the lunch close time. He never made us feel rushed and had a great conversation with us about the restaurant which we were visiting for the first time as we stopped in Springfield on our route to Oshkosh. "Let me start off by saying that I do not drink alcohol. Given the quality of the food I received at this Applebee's, I believe it must be consumed with alcohol to be enjoyable. I ordered the unlimited boneless wings and was disappointed with the quality. The first plate came with boneless wings, fries, and coleslaw. My first issue was being served with plasticware, which I was not happy about. The wings were lackluster, the fries were cold and stale, and the coleslaw was not up to par. It seemed more like shredded lettuce with some sort of dressing. When I mentioned this to the server, her lack of concern was quite off-putting. I may have enjoyed the meal if I were intoxicated, but definitely not while sober."

"My wife’s filet was over cooked it was ordered medium rare it came medium well, so the waitress took it back it took 15 min to get another one except when it was brought out it was very rare so rare it was chewy. They did take it off the bill and offered dessert when the chocolate cake was brought out it was hard and stale, it must have been left over from the holidays. The sauce swoosh on the plate was so hard you could not scrape it with a fork. The waitress was very good though and apologized, but the manager never came"

"I've been coming here for several years and have always loved their amazing chili. However, this was my first time trying breakfast, and it's now my favorite spot for breakfast in the city. The delicate beef basket I had was one of the best I've ever tasted, and everything, including the broth, was skillfully prepared. I highly recommend this place!"
