"The rooms are very clean and nice. I loved all the antiques around the lobby. The hotel is not handicapped accessible and there's no one around to ask for help getting bags up the stairs. I couldn't find a usb port anywhere to charge my phone. This was my first time at a b&b so maybe my expectations were too high for breakfast. The first day the choices were microwave sausage biscuits, yogurt, frosted flakes, fruit loops, bananas, chocolate chip granola bars, and hard boiled eggs. They didn't restock the breakfast room for the next day, so no hot breakfast (all the sausage biscuits had been eaten the previous day) and there were still empty/dirty milk pitchers sitting in the same place as t...

This hotel is quaint. Our room was small but very clean. It reminds me of a bed and breakfast, although the breakfast is very limited. The owner is really nice and even put a small refrigerator in our room for us. I like that it has a very rustic charm. Walkability: In the heart of downtown Maquoketa.
