"Great place to eat authentic bavarian/german sausage and meals. Friendly and fast service. Taos Ski valley I enjoyed to be here the second time with my wife’s uncle/godfather Walter Ruegg who was a pioneer of this ski valley building the first lift called „Rueggli“ and several others in the upcoming decades. He still lines to go there and meet his friends that are still working there. He as well helped to build this restaurant. A wonderful experience to enjoy this ambience that could not be better in Austria, Germany or Switzerland."

"Food was overall good but very small portions at a high price point. I'm talking half a meal for 15 dollars. Service was very bad on two days (slow and unhelpful when we had spoiled milk on the granola), but quite good on the third, a very friendly young man with some kind of an intellectual/developmental disability who was by far the best of our three waiters. The atmosphere is nice, spacious, not too noisy, but I found it too cold during breakfast because they had the windows open.Vegetarian options: Quite a few vegetarian optionsDietary restrictions: Vegan options were available, maybe one or two specially gluten free items"

"We had lunch at Rhoda's before an afternoon of skiing at Taos. The food was very good. I had their Turkey Club sandwich, which was very generously sized, and include a large helping of unusually tasty french fries. The wait staff was friendly and very courteous, and prices were ok for the amount of food. Only down side is that it took a little longer to get the food than I would have liked, but it arrived fresh and hot and the general ambience was hard to beat, sitting in the warm sun at the bottom of Al's run! The outside dining was in a sheltered spot, with radiant heaters, and was plenty warm enough on a sunny February day."

"We had the very best time at this wonderful restaurant!! Our waiter was a joy, very knowledgeable with spot on recommendations. He shared a few stories which made our time there so enjoyable. The food... was simple perfection, the best meal we had allweek! I wish it had been open all week, we would have gone there every night. Highly recommended! I'll be dreaming of the BlondeBear Tavern forever. ??????????????"

"Went up to the ski valley for lunch today and decided on Door 38/Taos Ale house. Holy moly was that the wrong decision. Easily the worst meal I've had recently and probably top 5 worst in my life. My green Chile cheeseburger pizza came out without any meat on it. Sorry, but where's the burger? it's kind of the star of the dish. They took it back, crumbled an old, dry, burger patty on it, zapped it for 30 seconds enough to burn the crust and dry out the meat more and then sent it back out. I ate two bites and refused to suffer through any more. My husband was extremely hungry and choked down 2 or 3 pieces, felt sick and disgusted and we left the remaining half of the food. We also got the chicken parm sandwich special. We had to ask for the fries that it came with. The chicken was moist but that was the best part. The chicken was way smaller than the bun, leaving a good 1/4 of the bread on the plate and a dismal amount of marinara. French fries were old and dry. All of this for $55. I highly do NOT recommend patronizing this establishment. Just another major let down of Taos Ski Valley."
