we went to the brasserie for a nice dinner at the birthday of my mannes. we enjoy splurging on special occasions by trying michelin in stars restaurants. our 5-course menu was nicely plated, eating tasted fantastic, and the service was worthy of michelin's star system.

we ate there at lunchtime while the prices are very expensive (starter for 10-25, net over 30 eating was excellent. classic Europe/French with modern twist. the paprikasuppe was amazing! the restaurant itself is very pleasant and designed like a chic (in a good. way) rustic wine cellar. overall a very good experience. highly recommended!

We treated our mother to a Mother's Day feast. We all enjoyed the food and wine, the friendly service and the pleasant atmosphere. You won't find any other restaurants in Pirmasens that can compare to this. The only room for improvement we could make out...is: (i) Serve real expresso (not Nespresso) and (ii) allow patrons to pay with credit card (not just German EC debit cards or cash).

"The recent contribution of DuresserGK0712 made with its Pulpo dish appetite for Greek cuisine. Greek is not my favorite kitchen, I do not make a secret. Last Friday, our meeting with carpe.diem was finally scheduled for the Mediterranean fish market in Wernau. I chose the (for me) cheapest route over Pirmasens. At least once a year, I have a personal shopping event here. Lemberg is just 5 minutes' drive from there and there is a Greek that we visited for the third time. This hasn't happened to any Greek. But here I hoped for good octopus again! And who knows if there are squids in Wernau in the evening? In the past, the restaurant was called “Gaststätte zur Altenwoogsmühle – 1587”, which is still maintained today. Over 20 years ago, I had dinner with my father, then under German restaurant guide. I like the venerable building very well. In front of the door there is a terrace with some seats. The luxuriant decoration with flower plugs, amphores and stone figures – yes Greek, that's too much for me. Private parking is sufficient and free of charge directly in front of the house. Two exhibitors with daily recommendations at the entrance: Gypsies (yes, you dare to offer and name this classic) and for me filled grilled octopus! Perfect! Unfortunately it was rainy, so we went to the restaurant. Here we were kindly greeted and were allowed to choose a table. Since our last visit, it has become quite colorful in the restaurant. No real color concept, but it looks more friendly. For tables, chairs, counters, furniture, wall paneling: all dark wood. A cozy Greek tavern without a buckling taste. I didn't pick up the toilets. As a clean but little tempting I remember her since the last visit. They correspond to the building of 1587. Maybe they have been modernized by now. The menu has been served and our drinks are welcome. The map offers Greek classics, something is there for every taste. Fortunately, the map is not as overloaded as with other Greeks. Our drinks: 2 small mineral water, 0.25 l to 2.00 each. 1 alcohol-free pils, 0.33 to € 2,20. Carpe.diem had strongly advised us to leave enough room in the abdomen for the evening fish event. My choice was already strong: Filled and grilled octopus, instead of pommes I chose rice, side salad € 15.00. My husband wanted to get involved with fish in the evening. He chose grilled salmon fillet with pommes and supplement salad € 15,00. The supplement salads were served in advance, with a few slices of fresh white bread. Leaf salad, finely marinated herb salad with carrot, Zaziki and Peperoni. The vinegar oil dressing slightly and well tasted. Unfortunately, I couldn't see a good olive oil here, I guess simple edible oil on dressing. The food was then something, even though the other guests were already supplied with food. It didn't bother us, it would be time for a professional lunch break. From the kitchen it smelled tempting and a little chicken made it wide. Then our lush dishes were served steaming hot. The octopus is an eye-catcher! Filled and grilled octopus juicy grilled, with perfect light roasted aromas and good herbal wort. On top of an orange slice. The rice, not dry, but also briefly swung through the pan. Zaziki and a Mayonaise in the small crucible. I didn't know that the head-sweet was filled with rice. Otherwise I might have chosen another supplement. The juicy and well seasoned rice filling of fresh tomato pieces, feta and peperoni was supplemented. The octopus delicate and great grilled. I was completely satisfied. My husband got 3 pieces of juicy grilled salmon with crispy pommes. Grilled salmon with pommes As with me, also with Zaziki and Mayonaise. Also my husband was very satisfied, only a little worried about his evening appetite. The dishes are really not juicy. The salmon on the outside grilled, inside nicely juicy. We don't like dry herbs, but we didn't like them so much, but it was very wonderful for Greek cuisine. We both dispensed with the herbal canaise where there was nothing to put out. In the meantime, the Griechin in the service (possibly chief) asked for our satisfaction. As usual with Greeks, after eating an ouzo was offered on the house. We thanked them for the ride. Welcome to the next time! Sure."
