"We visited on a weekday, during happy hour to specifically explore the appetizers. We did the fried pickles, fried mushrooms, cheese tots and quesadillas. Pickles and quesadillas were good, cheese tots were decent, however the fried mushrooms lacked flavor. Dip that came with the appetizers was a nice touch, bringing everything up a notch. Our service was good, however the QR code/ordering system needs some refinement. Decent place for appetizers especially with happy hour prices. Will visit again!"

First experience at Doc’s Backyard and it was 5 star experience. Payton was our waitress and she gave us some of the best service I have ever seen. Alex was awesome as well. 10/10 recommend this place. Excellent food as well! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

"Visiting Austin on vacation and my friend brought me to this restaurant but neglected to tell me that the employees were Deaf or were fluent in sign language. As an interpreter I was thrilled to know we were supporting a Deaf owned business and employees. I was having a hard time deciding and the cashier helped me make a decision on the chicken basil pesto and holy moly was she right it was delicious. I had never had a savory crepe only sweet crepes for breakfast or dessert. I can't wait to go back one more time before I leave to try their dessert crepes. "My opinion the tortilla soup has to much spices. The service was ok. I asked for a drink they came 20 minutes after. The manager was great he was friendly courteous I think his name is Rudyn, the environment was fantastic they sat us outside got to hear some group playing. First time there will definitely go back."

"We live in the Chicago area and have been visiting Austin for 10 years due to our daughter living here. We have been to Cafe Malta numerous times over that time frame and have found their food to be exceptional. The fixed priced New Year's Eve dinner was very good, but not as good as their usual menu items. I believe the volume of food that needed to be prepared in the time frame they allowed caused some problems. My wife and I enjoyed the selections up until the dessert, which was disappointing, in that it was not soft and delicious, it was over cooked and dense. The overall experience will not keep me from going back in the future, though. One course does not make a meal, and we were happy with the meals, but not the last course."

"I think we loved the price of Indian food and taste was good as well. For future Indian food pick up.we are going to continue with Tarka guys. I think with their great food service they can improve taste of the lamb kebabs. It can be much more tenderness also improve marinating of meat."
