Doraku was recommended to me by my friends from the island, and it did not disappoint! absolutely loved the ambiance of the restaurant, and the staff were so kind as to seat us in one of the empty booths upon request. the quality of fish, especially the sashimi 8, was impressive. the drinks were delicious and they had an expansive list of options. I ordered the God of fire roll and it was packed full of fresh fish spiciness, definitely not for those with low spice tolerance. we shared the agedashi tofu and the wagyu fried rice. Drinks we ordered a mojito which was okay, and ginger old fashioned which was very good We got shishito peppers as an appetizer- well prepared. Ordered the salmon which was a very generous portion! It was tasty, but only came with two pieces of asparagus and two slices of mushroom. I would have loved to have some more veggies in the dish, at least a few more pieces of asparagus. We also ordered the sashimi deluxe which included 6 varieties with 2 pieces of each for a great value of $40.
