"Duke 's Public House (pretty terrible name, not sure who Duke is... is the restaurant/bar at Delta Hotel in South Burlington, VT (Marriott bought the hotel in 2020 and there was a facelift I think. . The hotel is located directly at the exit 14E in South Burlington and SUPER conveniently to any place you want/ need to get up here. The service was slow, which was to be expected as only two people work. They did a great job in the face of the challenge. Whoever the bar was tender, the evening deserves an increase! (Sat. 1/15/22) She ran bar and waited for tables. This was not an easy task given the number of customers.

I was in Burlington for two days because of Airline Stornos. I had an excellent meal in a very busy place. Only three employees for 50 people. Believe it or not that they all kept happy. The responsible guy ran almost from table to table to provide excellent service. Even the hotel manager put in clear tables dishes and do what he could do to move things very impressive.

I'm a Marriott Titanium Elite. I usually avoid hotel restaurants, unless the meal is free, as I usually find them more expensive than they should be and the food not to the par. We went to the hotel on site, the Delta, the late day and the next morning, we didn't want to go to breakfast, so we went to Duke's. I have traveled a lot in my life and eaten in many restaurants, but I can honestly say that this was the best breakfast I ever had. You might think there is not much difference from place to place in eggs, potatoes, bacon and sourdough toast, but I can tell you from experience that there is.
