"The place is clean, and everything was nice and neat. The chicken was nothing special especially considering it is entitled Jenny's Fried Chicken. I made the horrible mistake of ordering broccoli as a side instead of fries. It turned out to be a broccoli with cheese battered and fried. It was made somewhere else and just fried here. I can't describe how bad it was. I was already eating fried chicken, who fires broccoli? My wife had gumbo and was not pleased. There was too much rice, and it was sorely lacking much in the way of meat. If you are traveling through do yourself a favor and keep on driving. They also had no coke products, only Pepsi."

"We were in Kirbyville this morning doing errands and the wifey was hungry for breakfast. So she got on Yelp to see what the options were for that area. Janice's Dinner Bell Cafe came up for a good breakfast, so we thought we would stop there before getting our other stuff done. We walked in and the waitress told us that we could sit anywhere we wanted so we grabbed a table. They weren't very crowded and she came right over to take our drink order and have us menus. Everything on the breakfast menu looked really good from a basic breakfast all the way over to omelette's of your choice. What caught my eye was the loaded Hash Browns! They came with everything!!! Gravy, jalapenos, cheese, bacon, ham, sausage, onions, Bell peppers, mushrooms, and the kitchen sink!!! It also comes with your choice of biscuits or toast! My wife ordered the Little Bell breakfast with two eggs, bacon, hash browns, gravy and one pancake. I ordered the Country Breakfast with three eggs, sausage, hash browns and gravy with toast. We also had ice tea for our drinks. The waitress was very helpful and outgoing. It wasn't long before our breakfast came out and we weren't disappointed! The hash browns and gravy were spot on and delicious!!! The eggs were fried just right and I had two good sized sausage patties and the toast was even great! It was already buttered, I loved it!!! My wife's was the same, but she said her pancake was one of the best she's ever got in a restaurant and she's a pancake conasuire!!! If you're in the area and wanting a great breakfast I would highly suggest giving the folks at Janice's Dinner Bell a try! Also they have a lunch buffet on Fridays that has catfish and shrimp!"

"Sometimes you make a random decision that turns out to life-altering. Me whipping the truck in the turn lane to grab some food at Dane?s while passing through Kirbyville was one of those times. I have never eaten there before. I ordered up the food and went thru it like my Hemi thru a tank of gas. Coleslaw, fried catfish, fried shrimp, French fries and hush puppies. (Clearly not the food on the cardiologist list of demands). Everything?even the tartar sauce was exactly what it was supposed to taste like. Soooo good! I could have ate a hush puppy the size of a cantaloupe if it tasted like those that came with my food. The staff is super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable of the menu items. Absolutely amazing stuff. I will most certainly find myself haphazardly ?passing through? Kirbyville to come here again! Thanks, Dane?s!"

"We go there every chance we get. I'm obsessed with the pecan crusted chicken fried steak. Delicious!!! We also love their fish and salad bar. Friendly staff, wonderful sweet owner, great experience period."
