"this restaurant is a step back into the time. it is a lot of a special occasion/romantic dinner restaurant that we did not recognize until we arrived there. we sat in a cozy side on the lower level, which had wood cladding, chandelier and artwork. for sale. the tables were well spaced. it was charming and was neither cheesy nor pretentious. they take their weights, give them up, put them on them when they go. eating is very good. well prepared, well presented and in a reasonable portion size especially for a French restaurant. I had the carrot soup, the bavette and the apple cake. everything was delicious, well spiced and sown. the apple cake took about 15 minutes to come, but it was worth waiting. the crust was buttery and the temperature was exactly right. there was also an amuse book and a pallet cleaner. the prices are appropriate for quality and portion size. the service was attentive. while our waitress English spoke, she was obviously more comfortable in French. lower dinge, but she offered the tables next to us fresh comminuted pfeffer, but not for us. I asked and she brought it with. she engaged in much more chat, laughing and bantering with the French speaking tables and was very business as with us. I even spoke to her in French, as I was the only person on our table, who spoke French, but she still spoke to me in English majority, which was strange. Nevertheless, her English was more than sufficient to wait our table, she was efficient, checked if we enjoyed the food and if we needed something else. she described all the dishes and gave good recommendations. the other problem is that we were looking for a restaurant in Ile-Bizard. from any reason this restaurant is advertised as on the island if it is not. it is more or less at the beginning of the boul. Ste-Charles and gouin in Ste-Genevieve. it was a happy mistake because I probably never had gone over this restaurant or to him. I would have dispensed with a wonderful culinary experience. I would not hesitate to go back and I would highly recommend this restaurant."

"I’ve been going to Towne Hall for years both lunch and dinner and private parties. Usually it’s an above average experience but unfortunately not the last two times. The lunch serving took excessively long, over 2 hrs, waiter barely ever came back to the table,...no bread was offered, no dessert was offered even though it’s included in table dhote, both times had to ask for both. When we didn’t want to take the seafood platter as an entry we got a look as if we were cheap and the waiters excitement diminished. The food itself was average with smaller portions than normal. Sadly it is the end of the line, won’t be coming back as there are many other viable alternatives that want my business."

"what a wonderful dinner! celebrate my sister birthday, found this place online (we live from the province, so no local knowledge.) started with salads fattouche for 2 of us and kirsch tomaten with feta for the third all very delicious. for the head. we tried vegetarian cousin, seafood pasta (wow, what a big sauce) and black cadjau. all were excellent! dessert was a divided baked alaska that quickly disappeared. so happy to have chosen this place. thanks zachary for answering all our asking and providing such great service."

"The overall quality of the food at this restaurant was good, but we had a disappointing experience with our eggs. We had to send them back twice, and while waiting for them to be cooked properly, the rest of our meal sat untouched. Despite only eating 8 out of 9 dishes, we were still charged the full price. When we asked about this, the manager only offered a small discount and was very rude and dismissive. As a result, we felt unwelcome and uncomfortable. Overall, the lack of good customer service at this establishment was disappointing. There are plenty of other breakfast places in the area that value their customers more, so I would recommend going elsewhere."
