"A hidden gem in the heart of the little 2 stoplight town of Newland. Inside a converted drug store, still using the original soda fountain counter as part of the serving area beats the heart of Northern Italy. Due to some snowy weather over the weekend of our visit, the crowd was small for a Saturday night. I have gone to Fabio’s restaurant for years! I have always had a stellar experience. This year for my birthday with corona happening I wasn’t able to go out to a restaurant and eat. I brought Fabio’s food home for my birthday and it was delicious and in such a great quantity.

Breakfast is amazing but you MUST make a reservation for the Saturday night dinner. It is amazing. Fabio serves an authentic six course meal with six different wines and you feel at home. The food was as good as if not better than what we had in Italy last year. If you like authentic Italian food and are in the Linville NC area then this is a MUST DO. We topped off our vacation with Fabio, his family, and friends and it was Amazing. Not to mention the great price.

We have been to many wine dinners here and the food is wonderful. We brought two groups here and Fabio went out of his way to make them comfortable. One group had 8 people with one being vegan. He waited until we got there to determine if she would put cheese on her eggplant and she did. It was great. The group of 17 included lots of kids and, although the restaurant was full and it was a preset menu, he took the time to cater to their needs and make the night kid friendly. The food is great and Fabio is a star!
